"Shit," I fell back to the wall. My world was falling apart.

"I'm not scared," I looked up at Freddie. His smile was wide and his eyes were bright like the sun. Yellow sun. Yellow was his favorite color.

"You shouldn't be. You're amazing Freddie," I had tears brimming around my eyes.

David smiled a bit. He turned around and said something inaudible to Freddie. I watched him hug Freddie dearly.

"Hey, how did it go?" George was looking out our window while talking.

"It was um... well, the exchange went well. I gave it back to them for free."

"Why?" George turned around to look at me. He was crying.

"Freddie has AIDS, Geo." He gasped and stood up.

"Too much time is being wasted by others," I don't know why he said that, but I just nodded. He embraced me in a warm hug. "Can we go down to that creek? You know, the one I told you about from my child hood."

"Of course," I smiled and wiped his tears.
