Working at an Skating Rink wasn't the best job but it was definitely one of the funnest. Getting to skate with people and help around was one of the best feelings.

Right now I was on my shift when my friend Zane came up to me.

"Switch. You got rink duty." He said.

"We switch again in a hour and a half." I said coming from around the counter. I was giving people their skates as they came.

"I know. Also I have to leave early." He said.

"And why is that." I said.

"I have a date but I told Mike I had a family situation." He said and I laughed.

"Damn So you just go leave me alright." I said.

"You know I would've stayed if I didn't have a date." He said and I laughed and skated to the rink but on my way there I saw a girl who was sitting by herself looking around.

She was beautiful. She had blonde hair that stopped at her shoulders and she had beautiful brown eyes.

I decided to go over to her.

"Why are you sitting here by yourself." I asked sitting across from her.

"My boyfriend stood me up so now I'm here by myself." She said.

"Well someone as beautiful as you should've have been stood up so if you need anything just come and find me or ask at the front desk my name is Y/n." I said and she smiled.

"No I can't and I'm Brie." She said.

"It's on me anything. From the games to the snack bar , please Brie just accept the offer. I'm not going to stop until you say yes" I said.

"Fine." She said giving in and I smiled.

"Now let's go skate." I said grabbing her hand and leading her to the rink and we started skating.

"You're hanging out with me and you're supposed to be doing your job." She said.

"I'm still watching everyone so technically I'm multi-tasking." I said and started going backwards.

"Can you teach me how to go backwards." She asked.

"Sure." I said and she turned backwards and I put my arm around her.

"You just flow." I said as we started going backwards and we skated some more.

As we were skating Brian came up to us.

"Switch." He said and I nodded.

"I'll be at the snack bar now. We switch every hour and a half so after snack bar but I'm staying until we close so I'll be back to check on you every now and then." I said and she nodded.

I went to the snack bar where there was a line already. After giving everyone what they wanted we ran out of Airheads and medium cups so I went to the back to get some.

"Hey Y/n who's the girl you were skating with." Zane asked.

"Her names Brie and her boyfriend stood her up so to make her night I skated with her and I'm paying for everything she gets from the snack bar and the games she play." I said grabbing more candy and cups.

"Well good luck with that. Hopefully her boyfriend doesn't show up." He said getting his stuff.

"Yea hopefully and good luck on that date. Tell Maya I said hi." I said.

"I will." He said and I went back to the front.

I put all the candy and cups in.

"You look bored." Brie said coming up to the counter.

"I am but after this session there's going to be a lot of people up here again. So What can I get you." I said.

"I want a large sprite, some skittles, and some Doritos." She said and I got all her stuff.

"A large sprite, a pack of skittles, and a bag of Doritos coming at you." I said setting her stuff in the counter.

"Thanks Y/n." She said.

"No problem." I said and I stayed at the snack bar until it was time to close. Once it was the last hour I closed up the snack bar and went to skate.

Everyone started leaving so I left the rink and went to help Kyle with getting all the skates back. After that Brie was the last to bring up her skates and I went to get her shoes.

"Here you are." I said sitting them in the counter.

"Thanks for everything Y/n." She said.

"No problem." I said.

"I don't think I would've had as much fun as I did today without you." She said.

"Like I said it was no problem. Nobody should've been stood up especially by their boyfriend." I said.

"I'd actually like to do it again." She said.

"If that's so then" I said and pulled out my phone and holding towards her "you'd give me your number."

She giggled and took my phone.

"I'll text you once I get home." I said.

"Ok, but it's getting late so i should go." She said.

"Bye Brie." I said.

"Bye Y/n." She said and left.

I looked at my phone because I didn't know what she saved her name as.

I laughed and put my phone back in my pocket. Once I got home I texted Brie.

Y/n🥵🤪: Did you make it home back safe , this is Y/n by the way

Brie from the Rink😇🤩: I did thanks for asking what about you

Y/n🥵🤪: I did as well and I was wondering if you'd like to hangout again

Brie from the Rink😇🤩: Sure how about next Friday again

Y/n🥵🤪: Sure at the rink again?

Brie from the Rink😇🤩: Sure What time

Y/n🥵🤪: I work from 6 to closing which is 11 so you can pop in during those hours

Brie from the Rink😇🤩: I'll see you next Friday
