Destiny's POV

"Where the hell were you two?" Brittany asks Amber and me as we leisurely walked into the school's premises. The school campus was vacant of human life besides the emerald green-eyed monster standing in front of me.

"Why do you care?" Amber questions sincerely.

"I wasn't speaking to you. Just because you're dating my brother doesn't mean you can talk to me like that. Watch your mouth." Brittany sneers, that smirk still playing on her glossy lips.

"We are not dating," Amber says through gritted teeth. For a second, I swore I saw smoke slowly rising out of her hair.

"Oh yeah. Right. He doesn't want to be with someone like you." Brittany says with a giggle.

"What the hell Brittany? Just go." I say in frustration. Why was she here in the first place if all she wanted to do was attack Amber? How did she even notice we were missing? Stalker?

"Oh, Destiny didn't see you there. You're so... short. The principal is looking for both of you, by the way." she says and spins on her heels and leaves.

"I guess our next destination is the principles office," I say with a smile, trying to lighten up the mood.

Amber starts saying something but I could barely make out what it was. Her mouth was just moving. I couldn't hear a thing. I looked around frantically. Everything was blurry and fading at the edges. I was okay, I was comfortable. I didn't need a switch. I just want to stay as-

"AMBER!" I hear myself scream before I fell to the ground with a "thump".

A hot sensation quickly spreads through my body like a fast-moving wildfire. A sudden wave of tiredness and nausea comes along not too long after.

Slowly, but surely, I fall into a world of darkness, where, as hard as I searched, I could not find her mess of red hair nor his pool of Hershey brown eyes.

Kyle's POV

It was the same scene like every other time I tried to take over the body. White walls, tons of wires poked into my arms connected to medical equipment that beeped just to make my ears ring. A quiet sob catches my attention from the side of the room. I roll my head in the direction to find a simple, petite girl with red hair reading a book while crying. She notices me staring and hesitantly jumps out of her seat, dropping her book in the process, and dashing over to my bedside.

"Destiny! Oh my- your parents just stepped out. I'll run and get them!" She says and runs into the closed hospital door.

She lets out a nervous laugh before continuing. "Um, I should open this." She says and continues running.

What the hell?

For a second I thought that she was probably in the wrong room, but then I realized that Destiny has begun school and was probably friends with her.

I've planned and waited long for this moment and I've finally gotten it. Might as well take advantage of it.

I roll out of bed and rip the cords out of my arms, making the machine beep even louder and uncontrollably.

I take a deep breath before examining my surrounding. A tiny white hospital room with two floor-to-ceiling windows, two small chairs, a small brown cabinet, and a ceiling fan. Kyra would have loved this, but it makes me sick.
How about some redecorating? A voice says in my mind. "Why not?" I respond.

I turn the lock on the door and start savaging through the small cabinet on the wall. In my search, I found red water paint, brushes, gloves, and flowers. Unsure of what to do with the flowers, I left them in the cabinet.

I uncap the water paint and take the paintbrush and lightly dab it against the wall. It may have been seconds or minutes or even hours before I finally finished and heard loud knocks on the door.

I looked over my handiwork, as a sly smirk grew on my face. Oh, how I've missed the feeling of sweet, sweet revenge. The knock on the door upgrades to shouts.

I take this as a cue for me to leave. I open the window as high as I could possibly get it. As soon as I was about to sneak out, the hospital door flies open and hits the wall.

"Kyle?!"

I stare at the four people that just barged into my room, searching for the source of my name. A thin, brunette lady steps out and looks me in the eye.
I gulp down the upcoming acidic bile.

"Hey, Miss. Robinson."
