I hurt the most when lost, yet also when not had at all. I'm sometimes the hardest to express, but the easiest to ignore. I can be given to many, or just one.

"Damn sea," Lisa angrily mutters as she flops herself face down onto my bed. I huff tiredly while dropping my bag to the side and laying myself on my back beside Lisa.

We finally arrived back home after 4 days of sailing and I have never felt so frustrated and tired in my life. So many things were revealed and yet, there were still something missing. I've tried speaking to Lisa about it but every time I did she would either brush it off or simply change the subject.

She's hiding something.

"I know," I sigh out. Lisa turns her face towards me with her eyes closed and sighs,

"I missed this world," she pouts out. I chuckle and turn my head to face her and hummed in agreement. She opens her eyes and sends me a small smile,

"Well that was a crazy trip wasn't it?" She playfully asks. I chuckle and nod my head while turning my gaze back to the ceiling,

"Nothing I couldn't handle," I tease. Lisa laughs and nudges me lightly. I chuckle while turning my gaze back to her and furrowed my eyebrows in confusion with the same grin as I noticed her silence and lingering eyes,

"What?" I ask.

"You're so attractive, it's insane," She casually states with a wink which caused an unwanted —loud— thumping sound to begin in my chest. A light pink color grows into my cheek causing me to narrow my eyes and pinch her cheek. She hisses and swats my hands away.

"Don't start with me siren," I jokingly threaten, not wanting her to witness the chaos that was happening in my heart. She grins and shakes her head,

"So what happens now?" She asks. I turn on my side to face her with her following suit and smiled reassuringly,

"Well, you're now going to work in the library with me because you WILL become human Lisa and you will have a wonderful life as one," I said, feeling self assured that we will find the answer we're searching for her to stay by my side—

I mean —to stay in the world with me— I mean—With us!

Lisa widens her smile as she reaches over and takes my hand in hers,

"Thanks for everything Jen," She whispers as she slowly flutters her eyes closed. I felt my heart swell at the sight of her flawless sleeping features and grew a content smile. I reached over and began to lightly ghost my fingers over her smooth skin and felt my heart doubling rhythm as her full lips lifted into a soft smile.

She snuggles closer to me and that action made me realize something,

You know what?

Yeah,

I need her in my life.

"But Jennie, I'm too tired!" Lisa whines out while swatting my hands away from her with one hand while the other held onto the car door handle tightly.

"I told you last night already, you're working for me now so let go of the damn door!" I yell in reply as I was finally able to snatch onto her wrist. She whines and lets out a little pout as she forces herself to let go of the door handle and lets me drag her into the library.

"Well good morning gorgeous," Jisoo teases. I roll my eyes but widened them as Lisa snatched my hand off her wrist and intertwined our fingers with a small yawn. This siren is unpredictable.
