'What're you saying? Idiot!' he yells at me, frowning. 'I have no desire to die! The only reason for me to look empty is because I was missing the love of my life.' he flicks me on the forehead. I look down, ashamed. 'The only heaven for me is on earth right next to you.' He pulls me even closer, burying his face in my hair.
I stay silent. I don't know what to say. I have wanted to die for a long time, it only came as natural to me that the only future was the very near one. But now this man, the love of my life, is asking me to stay with him. To live for him. To have a future.
'We can rent an appartment,' he continues, 'in a small town, get some nice jobs. We can make it.' I nod hesitantly. 'Never leave me alone again, Iwa. Promise me. I don't trust myself.' I say softly. He hums and kisses me on the head. 'I won't ever leave you, I promise.' He puts out his pinky finger. That's when I notice his wedding ring. I entwine our pinky fingers, then grab his hand to take off the ring. He snickers.
'Let's create our own heaven. Just you and me.'
