A couple days later I was sitting in the park on a bench in front of a pond. I hold my camera up and I start to take pictures of the beautiful scenery. I let out a single breath, completely relaxed.
"Hello!" A voice shouts from behind me, causing me to jump and give a short scream. I turn around and saw Taehyung.
"Oh, hello Taehyung o-oppa." I smile almost forgetting to call him oppa.
"You here by yourself?" He asks and I could really tell how deep his voice was and I nod.
"Yes, you?" I ask and he nods and sits next to me.
"I studied English so I can talk more with you." He smiles, proud of himself.
"I studied a bit of Korean too." I say and we both turn to each other.
"Tell me something." He says and I hum and set my camera down.
"Naneun gaeleul joh-ahanda." I say and he nods with a smile.
"I have a dog. My dog's name is Yeontan or Tanny." He says proudly.
"Aww! I wish I had a puppy. Okay now you tell me something."
"I did." He teases and I smile and nudge him lightly and he looks out to the pond, watching the ducklings and ducks waddle and swim around.
"Okay okay. I...want to be...your friend." He says and looks at me.
"Really?" I ask and he then pouts for a second. He pulls out his phone and starts to type quickly before holding it up and pressing a button and it was silent for a second before a mechanic like voice started speaking.
"I am sorry. I did not expect to get further into a convsersation than I studied. I hope this language barrier is not much of a conflict for us to be friends."
I smile and shake my head no and he fist bumps the air. I pick up my phone that was beside me and I quickly go to Google translate and I start to type before holding my phone up, clicking the speak button.
The mecanic voice says and Taehyung puts his hand over his chest as a shocked expression shows clear on his face. I get nervous thinking the google translate messed up what my intentions were and I quickly stop it and he laughs.
"I'm okay being out by myself." He laughs and I get that he was just joking with me.
"You shocked me." I say, feeling my heart beat fast.
"Sorry sorry" He smiles and looks at my camera and takes it.
"Do you ever take pictures of yourself?" He asks and I nod.
"I do but I don't show anyone." I say and he gently sets my camera down.
"May I see?" He asks and I show him a picture of me with my hair down and my makeup done.

"I took it before I left today." I say and he leans in and his eyes brighten up as he looks at my picture. He looks up at me then back at my picture before leaning back.
"That's a really pretty picture! You are so pretty" He says and I shake my head, my curls slowly shaking along with the movements.
"No, I'm not. You don't have to say that." I say quietly and smile. I see him slightly frown and he quickly starts to type on his phone.
"How can you smile and say no you silly girl. You are beautiful and I wish that you can see that"

"How did you grow up?"
"Dleun nal-e daehan tto daleun iyagi."
Taehyung gives a small smile and stands up and holds his hand out. I look up at him and hesitantly give him my hand which looks like a baby his in his large hand and helps me up. He then lets go and he says follow me and I follow him and we go to a cafe and just hang out.
The whole day was just Taehyung and I practicing the other language and talking through google translate. Once Taehyung got a text saying he had to go back. Taehyung called an uber for the both of us.
"Today was fun." Taehyung says and the uber pulls up and he walks me to the car.
"It was, thank you." I smile and he opes the door for me.
"Anytime, friend."
