"A, why don't you just declare your card stolen and buy yourself a new checkbook? Then you'll be able to pay your terrible landlord in less than an hour?" Ruffnut says over the phone. I'm stressing to find a solution soon or even better my wallet.

"I can't all my bank information is in my wallet, I have everything in that wallet! My card is blocked right now so no one can't use it but that includes me. So I don't have access to my bank account." I accidentally snap at Ruff. I keep pacing around in my little apartment not being able to relax.

"Don't snap at me I'm trying to help" Ruff says knowing I have a short temper but I shouldn't take my problems out on her.

"Sorry Ruff. I'm just running out off ideas I have literally turned my apartment inside out"I apologize as I finally sit down getting a nice view of the mess I created.

"Girl let me lend you the money" she offers kindly. Ruffnut never leaves any of her friends out to dry.

"Babe, you're a college student. You can't pay your own dorm room rent and mine" her offer is kind but I have to decline for her own sake.

"Please I'll just ask my rich ass parents for a loan and I'll lend that to you" her kindness makes my heart flutter but I can't except.

"No this is my mess I need to get out of it. I just need to find my wallet"

"Okay well I have to go. I need to take my stupid brother to the doctor" she sighs "can you believe that guy will put himself on fire but is scared of needles"

Shortly after Ruff complaint can you hear a Tuffnut yelling "They're stealing my blood! Is it for an allergy test or are they feeding vampires!"

I can't help but laugh at Tuffnut's silliness but I can't say the same for his twin, Ruffnut.

"We have allergies! But somebody has been putting their test on hold for 2 years now!" Ruffnut screams at her brother so loud I can hear it over the phone.

"Have fun you two" I say ending this twisty phone call.

"Later A"

I put my phone down and lay flat on my couch looking up at the ceiling.
I can hear my cat, Stormfly, purring beside me.

"Well Stormy, I'm going on a wallet hunt"

The next thing Stormfly hears is me closing the door on my way out of my apartment.
The hallway is lighted up by the sun shining through the windows. This may not be the nicest apartment complex but it's cozy and most importantly cheaper than a dorm room.
My college is not cheap and even though it says "full ride" it doesn't mean all my expenses are coved. So I may live cheap but I'm living.
The streets are crowded and people are wandering up and down the street. Some in rush others taking their sweet time. A group of chatty chicas are each holding a café con leche reminding me that I need be at work in two hours, so my hunt needs to be short.

I walk more like storm into Caña bailer bar. I can the Antonio jump behind the bar.

"Astrid we're closed. How badly do you need a drink at 8 in the morning" his voice hit some high notes as he was watching me come in.

"Antonio please tell me you found my wallet" I beg leaning on the newly cleaned bar wood.

"No sorry Astrid, I even asked all the other bartenders but nothing yet" he explains with compassion.

"Nooo" I say putting my head back surrendering to my bad luck.

"Don't give up hope" Antonio puts a sympathetic hand on my shoulder.

"Well I have to go to work" I sigh "please keep me updated".

I give Antonio one last smile before leaving for work.
