HAPPINESS AND OTHER FEELINGS comes in moments. Mary-Jane couldn't say that she's happy all the time ( can anyone? ), but since she moved to Hawkins, those moments have been much more frequent. It's taken her years, but she can finally find the true joy in the smallest of things. It seems as if everything comes in moments. Happiness, joy, anger, sadness. That's not only limited to feelings though, everyone has their moments. Moments of good, of bad, of regret. Billy especially. As harsh and spiteful as he usually is, tonight is one of those nights when he decides to casually join Mary-Jane as she's sat on the couch watching some random tv-movie, much to her surprise.

"What is this?" Billy lunges himself over the back of the couch and plops down next to her.

MJ looks at him for half a second. "I don't know, some western. It's kinda dumb."

Even though they don't like each other all that much anymore, sometimes they make some sort of effort, sitting next to each other to watch some stupid movie or listening to music, whatever it is. And that works for them. It's hardly the relationship one desires to have with their sibling, twin, even, but at the end of the day, they do love each other no matter how bad they are at showing it. "I don't actually hate you, you know." He says slowly, eyes fixed on the television.

"I have a hard time believing that." MJ chuckles sadly, turning to her brother. Billy shakes his head.

"You were always better than me at the stuff that matters. Intellectual stuff."

"Maybe so, but I always envied you." she replies, and it's true. She always did. Billy has always been adventurous, bolder, a people person with a heap of friends. He was always that lively person who wouldn't say no to a dare. She used to want to be him so badly. Mary-Jane was a shy child. A small circle of girls were her friends, but they weren't actually her friends. Not the kind you see in the movies, anyways. Not the kind you hang out with after school, have sleepovers with, whisper about boys with. No, she never had that. Perhaps Billy didn't either, but he never seemed particularly weighed down by it.

Billy doesn't reply, he only looks her way after a minute or two, unsure wether to reply or not but she's caught up watching the movie, so he doesn't. A comfortable silence resides between them for the rest of the movie, both chuckling at the dumb effects or sheer stupidity of the plot, but they don't engage in conversation. Near the end, the doorbell rings and Mary-Jane is quick to leap over to the door.

"Heyo!" Robin chirps as MJ opens the door, bouncing on her heels.

"Hey!" Mary-Jane lets her inside.
