Forest of Life

The smile etched its way onto her face, her eyes feeling different.

"...pathetic" she muttered.

The clink of a pen hitting the desk sounded. Arms twisting around her head in frustration. Jaw shut tightly together.

How could she be so pathetic? How could she...

She wanted to curl into a ball and ignore the world for a few hours. But she still had things to do and places to go. It all started piling up almost instantly. She hasn't rested much. Not for a few months. She's been going and going. And now she's walked around so much she's lost herself.

In the big forest of life she stumbled upon a dark part and couldn't find the light. In fact the more she moved the darker it got, the light faded away.

Her thoughts never stopped either. Her emotions growing by the hour.

Her dream was flickering. Just an idea at this point. She was stuck between letting go of the dream and chasing it. In the end she knew she was just gonna get hurt more, maybe she was just hanging onto the last remaining parts of her childhood innocence.

The idea she could achieve her dream seemed so far fetched that even she laughed about it.

But if she didn't go for her dream...what would she do?

The future is a haze. There's nothing planned. Nothing. Not even the hint of an idea or goal.

So once again, she wonders in the dark side of the forest of life. Lost and frustrated.
