So I watched you from a distance
Felt kind of like a stalker
Noticed you had a lot of friends
You were quite the talker
*
I never tried to approach
That new kingdom you made
Never stepped foot in
A world where I would fade
*
Instead I was happy
Truly, I felt joy
It was the feeling of a child
Getting his favorite toy
*
Because all these years
The wish I had begged for
Was simply to see you smile
To see you smile more
*
It did not matter
That I wasn't the one
To make you laugh
Or have that much fun
*
It didn't matter to me that
Life was only getting worse
You got your lucky break
Regardless of my curse
*
Watching was good enough
Even while being on my own
I cried with a big smile
You laughed with a gold throne
