My eyes are weighted under the pressure of a thousand leagues of sea. My skin is tight around my body, asphyxiating. Explosions erupt small fires inside me, and each time I wake up, it feels worse than the last.
"Carter," I gasp on empty listless lips.
"She's awake," someone's voice is stuck inside a water container.
"Emma, honey, did you take anything?" another voice asks, this one is stuck inside a blender spinning a hundred miles an hour.
The edges of my vision flick from rimmed red into blackness, and I let it drag me down, because everything inside me has caught the flames.
I wish to be extinguished.

Thoughts? I don't want this to come off as melodramatic, but I also want to emphasis that Emma isn't fully back in her own mind yet. Let me know! I can make changes if people feel I need to.
More up with the Williams, Carter, and the doctor next.
