Chapter 56

Star and Andy ran into the waiting room. There they saw Ella, and the rest of the band. Star ran up to Jinxx as soon as she caught sight of him. " Jinxx, what's happening?" she asked laying her hand on his arm.

He looked at her with tears in his eyes. "They won't let me see her," he said.

"Did they tell you anything?" Andy asked coming up behind Star.

"All they told me was they were having to do any emergancy deliverary," Jinxx said almost bursting into tears.

Star hugged him tight. Andy, from behind Star laid his hand on his shoulder, and the others sat quietly not saying a word. Ella was also crying, and Jake held her to comfort her, and all the others were either worried out of their minds or trying to suck up the tears.

"Mr. Ferguson?" someone by the front desk called.

Everyone immedantly looked up at the calling of Jinxx's name. It was the doctor, and Jinxx ran up to him. The others stayed where they were, and tried to listen in on what the doctor was trying to say. However, they could barely even hear their voices because a woman and a small child with a newly broken leg had just walked up to the front desk. The boy was screaming and crying out in pain, which made it impossible to hear anything.

While Jinxx and the doctor spoke, everyones attention was turned to the screaming little boy. Then someone screamed out in pain far louder then the boy. Everyone turned to look, and they saw Jinxx on his knees crying and shacking at the doctors feet.

Andy was the first to his feet and ran over to them. Everyone else followed and Star was right at his heels. Andy got down and wrapped his arm around Jinxx's chest pulling him up slightly so he could breath better. Jinxx sat there pulling against Andy's grip sobbing uncontrolably and gasping for air. They all were afriad of what they were fixing to find out.

CC pulled the doctor away, and he and Jake talked to him.

"What happened?" CC asked in a whisper.

The doctor looked at them both saddened. He did not know how to say it all again. "We were able to save the child... but the girl... " CC put his hand on the doctors shoulder cutting him off signaling they needed no more information. The doctor nodded and left, and everyone one looked at them. CC had tears rolling down from his eyes, and Jake turned around showing everyone his back as he cried.

No one knew what was going to happen next. They heard Jinxx's sobs of pain. Not pyshical pain, but pain of the heart. They did not know whether he would ever be the same again.
