Chapter 57

With Sammi gone everyone felt lost. They did not know what was to come next. First, Star and Andy's car crash, Star lost her eye, and now this.

At first Jinxx was hesitant about seeing the baby. He was a beautiful little boy and had a lot of his fathers features, but he had Sammi's eyes. Jinxx had decided to name him Sammy Jayy. Sammi after his mother, and Sammi loved the name Jayy with 2 Y's, so that is what Jinxx came up with in the end.

Besides Jinxx's broken heart, Star felt almost hollow. She just lost her best friend. She did not have much in life, and it all seemed like what she did have was crumbling away slowly and painfully. She began to think what she might loose next. Buttercup or Crow? Another close friend like Ella and Tracy? The guys from the band? The baby? Andy?

It's been 2 weeks since Sammi's funeral. Jinxx was at home taking care of the baby, and his parents were there helping out and making sure he was okay. He was having a really hard time coping, but the way he was looking at it was that Sammi would not want him to give up. She would want him to be strong and take care of their baby.

Star, however, was not in good shape. She now was almost mute, she never spoke unless she had to, and she barely ate anymore. Andy was worried. He was worried about her, but he was almost worried about the baby.

Andy, of course, watched her very closely. He watched what she wore, how she moved, the way she spoke when she did, and what her eye said.

One day it got so bad that Andy had to act on it more then he had. He decided to sit her down and talk to her. He wanted to help her. He knew it was hard, but she could get through it. He knew she could.

He sat her down on the couch, then sat on the coffee table in front of her. She looked down avoiding eye contact in everyway possible,  but Andy made her look into his.

"Star, I know you're hurting....." he started, but she cut him off.

"I'm not talking about this, Andy," she said shaking her head standing up.

Andy stood up too, and she started walking away.

"Star,  dammit, listen to me!" he yelled after her.

She stopped. She could her the tears in his voice. It killed her that he was hurting. It killed her more that it was herself doing it. A tear rolled down her cheek, and she stood still with her back to him.

"Star.... " his voice cracked," Star, it's killing me to see you like this, please... Please let me help."

She turned and looked at him tears streaming down her face. "No one can help me, Andy, don't you see? Everyone that I love is disappearing. Everyone that's around me are getting hurt... KILLED... first Jamie happened, then the car crash, and now Sammi... " she held her hand over her mouth as she wept.

Andy walked to her and wrapped her in his arms, but she pulled away.

"Andy.... bad things happen when people are around me...."

"Star don't...." he started, but she cut him off again.

"No Andy, it's true. I know it's true. All the good things in my life disappear. Sammi was my best friend, now she's gone... Andy..... you're the BEST thing that has EVER happened to me.... I can't let anything happen to you."

Andy shook his head tear streaming from his eyes," Star, NOTHING is EVER going to take me away from you. I'm always, ALWAYS going to be here. Seeing you this way is killing me. I can't let you end up like Sammi. I'm not going to let that happen. I'll do whatever it takes. I love you, Star. I love you," his voice cracked," I don't know what I would ever do without you. Please, baby, PLEASE don't give up on me now. We have a life time together. We're gonna have a BABY! " Star's crying became harder as she listened to Andy speak. She started to fall to her knees, but he caught her and pulled her into his arms sitting on ghe floor of the living room.

As she cried he rocked her gently and moved the hair away from her red and tear stained face. "Baby, I love you," he said kissing the top of her head.

"I love you so much, Andy," Star cried in reply.

"I'm gonna do whatever it takes, whatever it takes," Andy thought to himself.
