Kellin sat up with a gasp, hands gripping the covers as he panted heavily. His knuckles turned white with the force of his grip until the last of the dream he was having faded away.

Heaving a sigh, he glanced at his alarm clock, to see the red numbers of 3:42 am staring back at him. He ran a palm down his sweaty face and pushed his blankets of his body, grimacing at the cold that hit his skin.
He made it to the door and closed it gently behind him in case he woke Alex up.

Making his way downstairs, Kellin breathed in the cool air and ducked into the kitchen and immediately turned on the electric kettle, he dug through the pantry to get the box of raspberry flavored tea, after placing one in his mug he added one spoon of sugar and added the water letting the teabag seep for a few minutes before he grabbed the milk from the fridge.

Kellin took a seat on one of the stools and watched the steam raise from his tea.
Waking up from such a nightmare, he wished it would just go away, he already lived it once, he would at least like some peace in his dreams.
Having to watch himself and his mother getting attacked in his dreams left him more shaken than he would have guessed.

He took a sip of the hot liquid, sighing as it soothed his throat and warmed him up from the inside, almost unconsciously his left hand moved to the place on his body where he knew there was a mark. Kellin closed his eyes and took another sip.

There was a hand in his hair suddenly and his eyes snapped open, quickly looking up into similar green eyes as his own.

"Couldn't sleep?." Alex asked, running his hand through his hair again, helping Kellin slowly relax again.

"Had a bad dream," He said, eyes flickering up to look at his brother.
"What are you doing up?."

"Heard when you went out the room,"  He said, pressed a kiss to Kellin's temple before grabbing a mug from the cabinet and digging out a different tea box from the pantry, A green tea.
After he added his condiments, Alex took a seat besides his brother.

"So?." He took a sip of his tea.
"What to talk about it?."

"Its fine,"Kellin said.
"Was just dreaming about my death again."
He smiled sadly when Alex flinched.
"Sorry."

Alex shook his wrapping his arms around Kellin's shoulders and bringing his head down to his chest.
Kellin sagged against him with a yawn. And after a few minutes of silence he fell asleep to the beat of Alex's heart.

Said guy huffed out an amused breath, heart still aching from the way Kellin talked about himself dying so casually. He drained his cup, seeing Kellin did the same and snaked his arms around his brother's knees and lifted him up easily.

When he stepped into the hallway, he nearly ran into his mom, still rubbing her eyes.

"Sweetheart?." She asked.
"What are you doing up?." Her eyes then flickered down to Kellin's sleeping form and a concerned look crossed Her face.

"He's fine mom." He spoke quietly.
"He just had a bad dream and came to make some tea."

His mother's eyes soften in understanding and she sighed softly, he leaned down for her to kiss his forehead, before doing the same to Kellin.

"Alright, go back to sleep I'll call the principal to let him know you two will be coming a bit later than normal." She patted his side and shooed him towards their room.

Alex smiled, shaking his head fondly.

His mom was the best.

He quickly made it back to their room, closing the door with his hip and placed his brother in his bed before slipping in to his own after he made sure Kellin was wrapped up snuggly.
With one look at his brother once again, Alex closed his eyes, knowing that his mom would wake them up when it was time.
