Catching Up

Y/n's POV

We all turned to the person who had just spoke. My face lit up when I recognized who it was.

B/f/n!

"If you have a problem with my bestie, then you'll have to deal with me," She said confidently, glaring at the girl. Oikawa's fangirl got frightened by b/f/n and ran away as b/f/n laughed.

"B/f/n!" I exclaimed as I hugged her.

"Y/n. Can't breathe..." She said and I let go.

"Sorry," I chuckled.

"Well so much for surprising you," She sighs disappointed, "But I can't just let some brat do that to you."

"What are you doing here?" I asked curious.

"Well we moved here because my dad and mom got a really good job here! I also get to go to the same school as you! Isn't that exciting?!" She yelled excitedly. I couldn't help but smile even more.

"It's great! We really need to catch up!" I suggest and she nods.

"I would love to hang out right now but it looks like you're busy," She says motioning to Oikawa who I had forgotten was there.

"Oh right," I frowned, "Yeah may-

"It's fine," Oikawa said, "You guys go catch up."

"Really?!" My smile came back.

"Yeah. I'll just go home. I remembered I have something to do," He replied.

"Oh ok! Come on b/f/n, let's go!" I tell her as we walk away.

Oikawa's POV

I watched as Y/n and her friend walked away. I've never seen her so happy before. I couldn't help but feel upset that she was going with that girl and ditching me. I mean, I know I let her go but I thought she going to say "I'll stay with you Oikawa. It's fine. You're way more fun to be with anyway!" Isn't that what happens in all cliche movies and books? But we're talking about Y/n here. She's different. Why does she have to be so difficult?

Y/n's POV

"Oh my gosh really?!" I laughed.

"Yeah. I told him not to but did he listen, nooo. You should have seen his face! It was hilarious!" She snorted.

"Good to know that your brother's still a complete idiot," I said.

"My brother might have the good looks for a middle school kid, but he sure doesn't have a brain like one," She added.

"Seems like someone else I know," I mumble.

"What was that?" She asked.

"Uh nothing!" I tell her. She looks at me unconvinced.

"Say, who was that guy earlier? Is he your boyfriend or something?" She smirks. I looked at her with a blank face and and burst out laughing. People who were walking by gave me weird looks but I didn't really care.

"Oikawa? My boyfriend? That was a good one b/f/n! He's not even close to being my boyfriend. We're merely just people that know each other. On top of that he's annoying and stubborn," I say.

"Well you say that now but he could be your lover in the future," She smirks.

"B/f/n, you know very well how I feel about relationships," I frown and she sighs.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Anyway are there cute boys at Aoba Johsai? Maybe even like on the volleyball team?" She asks. I had told b/f/n that I was the manager of the boys volleyball team. But we would always play volleyball together ever since I met her. She knows about my volleyball incident and everything so she was happy when she heard that I was getting back into it. B/f/n was kind of the outgoing  and flirty type. But she could also be the shy and introvert type. She was an odd person but that's why we're best friends.

"Well I would say there are but people have their own opinion." I shrug.

"Oh I can't wait!" She exclaims then looks on here phone. "We should be getting back home. It's getting late."

"You're right.We should have a sleepover! Just like before!" I suggest. Her eyes light up and she bounces up and down.

"We should! Let's go to your place." She says and I nod.

"Hold on. I'm just going to let my uncle know real quick."

After talking to my uncle for about three minutes I hang up and turn to b/f/n.

"He's says it's alright."

"Awesome! Wait... You do have ice-cream at your house right?"

Sorry for the short and late chapter guys! I've been busy since it's summer break. I've just been going places and all. I'll have another chapter updated soon hopefully if I don't get interrupted or get really busy. I'll see in the next chapter! Bye!
