I was curled in my bed, Lloyd sitting on its bed. I was focusing in on the air around us, feeling it, in a sorts. It whispered and danced around us, saying soft things that only I could hear. Whispers of distant conversations it brought to me. The rustling of paper as the wind carries it through the air. I could almost see as it tossed, turned, and rolled through the air. I shake my head, pushing myself to sit up.
"One of the other Ninja could help. Yeah. Even if you possess the same power as any one of them have..no. I know. That sounds stupid. You don't have to say it. I just..what if I've not reach my full potential by then? Or I still can't figure out Spinjitzu? Lloyd, my powers aren't from here, they don't..may not work the same way as your all's." I exclaim, throwing my hands up in the air. He scoots to sit in front of me, taking one of my hands and lacing our fingers together. My other hand falls to my lap as I watch a green glow surround our hands, and as I focused on my own powers, a yellow spiraled around within the green.
"They may not work the same, but they can work together. Even if it doesn't make sense, or even sound reasonably possible!" He shrugged, smiling at me gently. I sighed, shaking my head. This boy was cute, I swear. His green eyes shone like emeralds as he looked at me, that same indescribable emotion shining in them from before.
"No..it definitely doesn't make sense." I murmur, furrowing my brows some as I looked up at him. One blink later and we were closer, our faces mere inches apart. What was I doing? I didn't have feelings for him. A distraction..I needed a distraction. Something to take my mind off the fear, imminent danger, everything. So, I leaned in. He met me halfway, his lips soft on my own. His free hand laid on my thigh, mine resting on his arm.
I felt the air spark around us, our powers flowing between the two of us. It was different, unreal. But with the kiss and the strong amounts of emotions, it was sparking like a wildfire. The kiss deepened, a desire fueled by two sad, young teenagers. His hand tightened slightly, my body jolting some in reaction, and a spark igniting between our lips. We each launched back, lips stinging from the odd sensation. I coughed, a light blush creeping up my necks and cheeks. Probably wouldn't be doing that again anytime soon.
"We..may should get going. The Ninja are probably waiting for us, and if we're too late, who knows what they may think is going on." I cough, yet again, carefully moving off the bed. He doesn't answer, his fingers catching my wrists as he gently pulls me into him. His lips capture mine once more, this time slightly curious. I leaned in, just for a moment before pulling away. I couldn't get myself sucked into this..if I planned to leave. I felt shivers trail my spine as he stood, brushing his fingers along the trail of my spine before walking towards the door.
"Well come on, then. Let's get going. We've practiced enough today," he laughed, showing no sign of the kisses we'd just shared. He was a curious male, confusing..but cute. I could like him, couldn't I?

I listened to the Ninja, their commands being to listen, use our ears. I stood to Lloyd's back, blindfolds covering our eyes. The air enhanced our senses, carrying each footstep to our ears. I launched off of Lloyd's back, pushing forward to crash into one of the Ninja with my feet, using all my force to send them flying forward as well. I stood firm, listening to their thump and 'oof' as they hit the ground. Directly after, another set of footsteps comes towards me, the thumps and grunts of Lloyd and two other of the Ninja following that. I duck at the sound of chains and a whoosh through the air, and counter that attack my jumping forward, bringing my head into their chin, flinching at the sound of a pop and the pain in my head.
"Ouch! Shit, (y/n)!" Jay's voice carried in my ear, though I didn't have time to react as someone else came at me from behind. I whipped around, catching their attack with my forearm. That'd leave a bruise, but a bruise would be nothing compared to what was coming. I suck in a breath, using the air to send them rushing back. I hear a cry, a male, and then the window being thrown open. A few more attacks and counters later, and our training is over.
I huff softly, bending some to try and catch my breath. My heart was racing, adrenaline coursing through my veins. This was actually..fun. A rumble and the shaking of the ground brings my from my thoughts, my body becoming unsteady. I attempt to step forward and grab something, though I, of course, trip and tip forward. An arm snakes around my waist before I could fall, pulling me up as the quaking stops. I glance up into those near charcoal-brown eyes, my heart slowing some at the concern they held.
"You okay, (y/n)? You need to be more careful." Cole smiles, for once not being as cold towards me. I mean, I was still a stranger? The TV flicks on before I could answer, and I'm already shaking out of his grasp with a soft nod. A hand slips into mine, a blank look on Lloyd's face whenever I look up. Sensei walks in moments after the small scene, Misako following. They've seemed awfully close as of late.
"NGTV reporter Gayle Gossip on the scene of what appears to be an earthquake rocking the city of Ninjago." She spoke from the screen, standing in the park with multiple stores and buildings in the distance behind her. "But it's an earthquake like no other," what does that mean? "as scientists have yet to pinpoint the cause. And more frightening still, the aftershocks are getting stronger." At that, the ground starts rumbling again, and unsteady me follows with it. Lloyd's arm wraps around me, pulling me to his chest.
"Do you think this could be anything serious?" I question, all eyes turning on me and Lloyd. Some brows raise at the sight of us, though I pretend to ignore it.
"It could be Garmadon, we haven't seen him for a while." Kai shrugged, taking the gazes as he spoke.
"He would never," Misako began as she took several steps forward. "Lloyd's father is evil, but he would never do anything to put his son in harm's way."
"Misako's right." Sensei agreed, nodding. See my point? "He only tried to thwart his training. This is something else."
"But what is it?" Jay questioned, glancing to Zane as he begins whistling.
The crow lands on Zane's arm, seeming to appear out of nowhere. "My friend, be my eyes and look for danger in the streets from above." He spoke, letting Crow fly from his arm and into the sky above.
"Aah!! Help me! Help me!" Cried a woman off in the distance, the air bringing the voice to me. I didn't take the extra second's thought as I began running. I didn't take the time to tell for the Ninja, I ran, pushing open the window to hop out. So dramatic. Yeah, sure. Wait..I'm answering my own thoughts now. I'm going crazy. I heard footsteps behind me as I raced through the streets, letting the air guide me and tell me where to go. I could feel the woman's fear in the air, not thinking as I dived into the break of the ground where she was. Hands grabbed my ankles, jolting me back some, mere inches above the woman.
The woman cried out in relief, jumping to grab my hands. My heart was beating in my ears at a million miles an hour, muffling the barking and talking above me. It was a slow process, but we were eventually pulled back up. I let the woman go, then proceeded to help her up. "Thank you, thank you so much!" Her eyes widened at the sight of me, a female, her eyes seemed to question.
"It's no problem, ma'am." I smiled, brushing back some of my hair. Yes, I'm a girl. Go ahead, take it in.
"Speak for yourselves! I done all the work!" Cole exclaimed from his awkward position on the ground. Lloyd laid his hand on my arm, about to speak before Kai spoke up.
"These things just keep coming without a warning, (y/n), you can't just run off like that without saying anything."
"That's it. A warning," said Misako, just now making it with Sensei following. She held a scroll, a big smile on her face. "The scrolls said the earthquakes would be a warning. A warning for something far worse to come."
"Far worse? What could be far worse?" Interrupted Jay, throwing his hands out from his sides.
"Misako, the indestructible Stone Warrior we fought yesterday, where did you find him?" questioned Cole, narrowing his eyes some.
"He was buried under the city," she spoke, that same smile returning.
"You don't think there's more, do you?!" Jay cried, glancing around nervously.
"Be on guard, ninja. We must be ready for whatever comes our way." Sensei said, solemnly. He's right. We have to be ready. Me and the Ninja all circled, or backs facing the others.
"Noo! Nooo!" Carried through the wind with another grumble of the ground, the voice familiar. Scales? And then sick, horrifying laughter with the breaking of more ground. And a following with that.
"Sensei, it's just as we feared. Another Stone Warrior is loose on the streets." Zane says, his voice worried.
"No, there's mor-" I begin, though cry out as a fist breaks from the ground, grabbing my foot as it did. More and more follow it. I cry out as the hand tightens, some more come around the corners of streets, growling as they did. "We're under attack!!" I cry, trying to jerk from it's grasp. Lloyd takes my hand, and together we blast the Warrior's hand off. If cries out, only taking a few moments to recover before crashing up from the ground.

I rode in with Lloyd, letting my hood fly off and the wind catch my hair. I felt alive, exhilarated. We crashed into a few Warriors, skidding to a stop afterwards. I followed Sensei and Misako off, nodding at Sensei's words.
"We have to protect the people. Gather as many as you can and get them to our evacuation point." Sensei said, glancing back as Nya spoke from a comm.
"We've got problems with that evacuation point, guys! I can't find a safe place to land!" She cried, loud enough for all us below to hear.
"The NGTV office building has a helipad on the roof." Gayle spoke as I began running  back to Lloyd, I climbed up as Sensei spoke.
"Yes. Higher ground. (Y/N), tell Nya to there." I nodded, climbing up and doing as told. I sat behind Lloyd, leaning forward so our cheeks were touching, if his mask weren't up. I watched Sensei and Misako talking, the charging Warriors in the distance.
"Uh-oh. There are more of them." He spoke, twisting around to peer behind of us. Ultra Dragon landing on top of them, some diving out of the way. "Ha ha. Yeah!" UD then flew over us, landing infront of those on the ground, protecting them.
"Lloyd, did you practice you Elemental Quakes?" asked Sensei, turning to look at Lloyd.
"Who needs to practice, when you're a natural?" Lloyd said, cockily. He was right as he jumped out and landed on the ground in front of UD. It raised, allowing an earthy barrier between us and the Warriors. I jumped out of my seat and onto the roof, soon with Lloyd by my side.
The dragon blew ice, allowing for an icy path to get out of this sticky situation. We were off, and at the jump Lloyd looked back to his winged friend. "Good. Now save yourself." The gorgeous dragon growled in response as we sped off along the streets of Ninjago.
We screeched to a stop in front of the NGTV building, hopping off of the vehicle to race behind the screaming citizens rushing into the building.
"Block the doors, quickly!" I yelled, grabbing a chair to begin carrying it to the door. Everyone followed suite and soon enough the doors were barricaded. "Now to the stairs!"
We all rushed to the stairs, plenty of people still rushing up them. "Stairs? It's 20 floors!" gasped Dareth. "Let's just take the elevator, guys."
"It's unwise to take the elevator during an emergency, Dareth." spoke Zane, shrugging slightly as he watched Dareth.
"Well, I think I'll take my chances." He spoke, not looking as he walked to the elevator. A warrior stood there, eyes widening as he saw the male. He began stalking towards him, even as he backed away. The Warrior stepped in a bucket, slipping and stumbling back in to the elevator as he did. Dareth hit the elevator button, letting the doors slam close. "Okay! Stairs it is. Let's get climbing, everyone."
We all begin racing the stairs, Dareth yelling suddenly as he did after a moment. He bumps into several of us, nearly knocking me over a rail. Lloyd extends his hand as I near the top, pulling me up to stand by him. "We need time, quickly. So we can get out of here." I gasp out, placing a hand on my aching side.
The Ninja Spinjitzu down the stairs, Lloyd pulling me in with him. The normal color of green and gold, taking in a more yellow tint with it. The wind rushed around us, making this absolutely amazing. The sparks danced around us, the surge our of powers coursing through the two of us. Several of them broke as we passed, the rest we all knocked down and tipped of the rails. Let's hope we bought enough time.
All of us raced to the top, making it as Nya did in the bounty. "Hurry everyone!" I began, with Lloyd finishing. "They're coming!" People began filing onto the platform, the Ninja guiding them to the bounty.
I turned in time to see Misako take off running, speaking briefly to Lloyd before continuing back into the building. Hesitating for almost moments, I take off too. I run, dashing past Lloyd without a word, but Misako is nearly down the stairs, and I'm quick to follow. Behind I hear Sensei, but my main focus is on the woman as I hear her scream. I barely glance over the edge, and she's falling. I leap over the edge of my own railing, letting the air catch me as I reach her. I'm over the railing once more, and me and Sensei are pulling the woman over the railing. So many rails.
Warriors surround us on both sides, and Sensei turns, leading us to a room where we're bound to get cornered.
"There's no place to hide. We have to fight," he spoke, readying his staff. He barely glanced to Misako, whom stared at those before us. "Do you still know Spinjitzu?"
"Do you forget you never beat me?" She nudged him, though I tuned out the rest of what they said. I could do this. As they kicked forward, I followed their lead. And I felt it, the wind kicking in my ear, the rushing of the Spinjitzu twisting around me. The noises of each spark of our powers surging in my ear. We couldn't do this..even if I unlocked my Spinjitzu. So after a few moments..we gave in. Backing to the window. We had to jump, and hope for the better.
I was out first, feeling the air rush around me. But it didn't catch me. Didn't catch the pair above me. Arms wrapped around me and I was pulled into a strong chest as Misako and Sensei landed inches away. Lloyd held me, smiling softly. And in my excitement, happiness, and relief..I leaned up and kissed him. In front of Sensei and Misako. My responsibility was to live, to not give up. To fight. To help save everyone.
