(Second grade year)
"You can't do anything about it, Russia. You talk all weird and I don't like you". America pushed Russia and stood over his face, teasingly, just begging for him top remark. The mulch from the playground hurt his back. "Let me get up, I'm going to get dirty". America found this comment hilarious. "Yeah, you wouldn't want your stupid hat getting dirty, would you?" At that, America pulled Russia's favourite birthday present, a grey ushanka, off of his head and threw it into a bush. "Russia, your powerless to me. Now get out of this school. You don't belong". America stepped on his finger as he walked away to where the girl he liked, Philippines, was watching from the swing. Russia sighed, going to retrieve his beloved ushanka from a leafy green bush. He dusted the pieces of wood off and started on his way. It's not like it matters, he told himself. But he didn't care. It hurt that he was the weird kid and that he didn't have any friends. But he still kept walking. Tomorrow is another day, was what his father always told him. But would tomorrow really be any different?
