it was 3 days before of our last shoot. i was pretty sad, if i was being honest, but today sam is going to come and practice because at the end we're going to perform a song together. with help from haechan though. "where is she?" haechan asked laying on the ground of the practice room.

"she should be here soon." i shrugged pulling out my phone to text her. before i could press send the door busted open

"im sorry im late, i got lost." she said huffing as she tossed her stuff to the floor. "are we going to do this?" she asked, haechan got up to sit in a chair so he could monitor us.

"that was a good practice." haechan smiled, "your vocals are actually good." he looked genuinely surprised as i hit him, "and mark, more passion." i just rolled my eyes at him

"why are you so surprised?" i asked, offended.

"why are you offended?" donghyuck asked, mocking me

"he's so cute." lisa gushed

"it's cute when he gets defensive over her" chen voiced as everyone nodded

"protect her with your heart, mark!" rosé sighed

"well thanks, i guess." sam shrugged, "uh, if we're done here i have to go."

"yeah, we're done. you guys are going to kill it!" haechan smiled as sam nodded, she gathered all of her stuff and tried to zoom out of the room.

"look at what you did!" i rolled my eyes chasing after her

"what did i do?" he called after me as i ran after sam.

"sam, wait!" i called, she turned around with tears in her eyes. "sam, im sorry on his behalf. your voice is the most beautiful thing i ever heard, don't be sad over what haechan said." i cautiously moved closer to her as she bursted into tears

"no, no, it's not him. i'm just- im just stressed out..." she sighed, wiping her tears

"what's wrong?"

"we're making a comeback soon and i still haven't figured out anything to do for you. im sorry. everything is coming at me so fast, i feel like if i stay still for more than a second im failing. my parents need me to succeed, they need my help." she collapsed to the ground in tears

"sam... im sorry, i didn't know you felt that way." i sadly said sliding down next to her

"how could you? can you read minds?" she tried to smile as my stomach did flips.

"i sometimes forget they're still kids." suho sadly said as he watched the teenagers try to make sense of life.

"i wanna hug her so bad." baekhyun whined as he hugged chen's arm

"i'm so sad for her. all the stress she must be under, it's not easy." rosé sighed, "even being away from home that young, i hope she's okay."

"im sure she's fine. mark's taking care of her!" lisa tried to bring up the mood

"you're right."

"i should get going, i'll see you soon." she smiled, and turned away. i grabbed her arm and pulled her around

"please be safe." i pecked her lips as she stood stunned in front of me, she quickly nodded and scurried off. i smirked at the girl and went back into the practice room.
