The concept behind the performance was very close to his heart. Sean didn't know how to tell her how he really felt about her so he decided to show her instead.

Some people didn't realize that they had someone specifically for them out there in the world until later in life but here he was at 15, acknowledging that he probably could not live without the one and only Kaycee Rice.

She was a breath of fresh air and he was in dire need of oxygen. She could grab the attention of every single person in the room and she didn't even notice. And just like that, she had stolen his heart.

Every moment with her was thrilling and borderline euphoric. He tried to find a moment before her which held a similar feeling but he always came up short. It was her.

She was everything he could possibly dream of, all he could possibly want. He was not willing to let that go when he had just discovered it.

When they were searching for a song for the Cut performance on World Of Dance, the song stood out to him. He knew then that he would have to make that performance memorable for the both of them.

The lyrics of the song held a longing that he could recognize. A longing he could understand. And he wanted to show that side of himself to her.

Convincing her of the song choice was not that difficult. Not only did it show a different side of them as a duo, it also encompassed the comments of the judges from the two previous rounds.

Coming up with the choreography was something special. He spent every moment with her trying to make every movement worthwhile. Her opinion mattered the most and he didn't want her to feel intimidated or uncomfortable.

They continued to grow their trust in one another and before long, the lifts that were once apart of a trial and error phase were mastered.

The lifts in particular scared him a little. She felt so fragile in his arms that he was afraid that if he dropped her, she would probably shatter.

Kaycee didn't mind much. She knew that in order to get the performance to a higher level, there would be bruises and that was a risk she was willing to take. Sean on the other hand couldn't stand the thought of himself dropping her. He made sure to be extra careful, even if he was the one getting hurt in the end.

As the rehearsals became numerous, there were multiple situations where the both of them were so caught up in the moment, it felt impossible to leave.

Slight lingering touches, a small whisper as their foreheads touched, him tucking a stray curl behind her ear, her falling asleep on him, late nights in the studio, early mornings in the lobby, every day, they grew a little closer.

He just couldn't help his young heart from falling for her. Even a blind man could see that he was so far gone.

She too could feel the shift in their reactions towards each other and she was surprised to find that it didn't really bother her. He was an amazing human being and Kaycee was absolutely sure that any girl would be lucky to have him, even it wasn't her.

There were times when the two of them would escape the studio to catch a breather and Sean would catch a couple of guys glance their way checking her out. Being the carefree person that she was, Kaycee would either just laugh it off or just ignore it completely when Sean brought it up.

He was sure that if he had the chance to call her his, he would never make her regret it. He would hold her when she cried, drying her tears. He would kiss her every chance that he got not because he had to, just because he could. Thoughts like that kept him up at night.

Before long, show day rolled over and his vision came to life. Their connection could be seen by every person in the room. With tension high and emotions running wild, they shared one of soon to be many kisses at the realization that they had made it through to the next round.

The shock that came straight after was inevitable. Neither one said a word afraid of what the other might say.

Sean just held her face in his hands, rubbing his thumb along her cheek. "Was that okay?" he asked, uncertainty in his voice.

Speechless, Kaycee just nodded.

The months that followed were a little rocky as they tried to find equal ground between the both of them. Sean gave Kaycee as much time as she needed to come to terms with what had happened. He was not willing to force her into something she did not want which would eventually lead to breaking the two of them.

A movement on his chest caused him to snap back into reality. Sean looked down at the woman that lay in his arms on the couch. The memories of what seemed like yesterday drifting away slowly.

The light from the television cast a soft glow on her face that was partially covered by her curls.

Brushing the curls aside, he continued to stare at the beautiful woman who had agreed to become his wife.

The tenth anniversary of their performance had arrived and he couldn't help but remember in that moment how he had posted a snippet of their Cut performance on Instagram. His caption had been so heartfelt.

It was amazing how someone could light up a room. It only took the right person to turn on that light. And he had found this in Kaycee. It was something he would never forget.

As Sean lay there, Kaycee tucked in his arms, reminiscing, he was thankful to heaven that every emotion he left on the stage that night had been seen by her. She saw, she heard, she felt and she responded. And now, he was especially grateful that he was hers.

She was his light and it was his life's mission to make sure that it never dimmed.
