After a long talk with the Snake, Harry realized he hadn't given her a name. Yes, it's a she. Harry had figured that out during their chat. "What would you like your name to be?" Harry asked. "Anything that seems fitting to you, My Child," the Snake replied. The Snake liked calling Harry 'My Child', so she did so.

"How about Mal? It means evil in Spanish, which I am fluent with," said Harry. "I love it! But, if I may ask, why evil?" asked Mal. "I was always a disgrace in my relative's eyes and seen as evil, it seemed fitting. Don't take it in a bad way, it just means I feel connected to you," answered Harry. Mal mentally smiled at that last sentence.
