Enjoy the gay shit

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The slim blonde girl walked along the sidewalk, looking at the beach below her. It was beautiful at this time of day. She always loved coming here. She clutched the book in her pale, freckled hands. The label read 'Marine Biology: 11th Edition'. As she looked over the beach, the familiar calm feeling graced her mind, and she smiled softly to herself.
Then something caught her eye on her peripheral vision, making her turn her head sharply to see a large, slightly twitching net laying in the shadows below a large rock. It was barely visible, but because she knew this place so well she knew it was not normal.
She slid gracefully down the slope of sand, dusting off her shorts and legs before creeping quietly towards the large net. Her footsteps made no noise against the soft sand. As she got even closer she flinched as small fearful sobs escaped from the twitching figure. Something else was behind those sobs, she realized. She listen closely, and then she heard what was truly behind the sobs.
Pain.
She moved gracefully over to the net, finally being able to see the outline of a large tail under the net. It looked like it belong to that of a fish, but it was much too large. She crept closer, her eyes tracing the beautiful violet purple scaly tail. Her eyes followed up above the tail to see a brown mass of messy hair; and beneath it came the sobs. Her eyes fell down to a part in the hair falling on her back, as the last bit of sun illuminating a dark red liquid. It dripped down her sides.
Luna carefully moved next to the girl, on one knee. "Hold still. I'm gonna get this off you." She said in her airy voice. The brunette flinched then went quiet. Luna softly looked at the net, lifting it up to examine it. A moment later she removed a hunting knife from her beach bag and began sawing away at the rope with it. When she finished cutting it, she began ripping it apart to make enough room for the mermaid.
She scrambled out, and let out a sob of pain and curled up as more blood dripped into the sand. "Hold still." Luna said, barely above a whisper. She pushed the brunette's hair carefully out of the way and then removed her shirt and started to soak up the blood, keeping steady pressure on the large cut. The girl let out a sob and whimpered fearfully. Luna ran a hand through the girl's hair comfortingly. "It's going to be okay. Lift your head up and take a deep breath.
A short gasp left the girl, but she began to take deep breaths. She was shaking a little, and Luna tried her best to keep the poor mermaid calm. She carefully turned the mermaid over and propped her against the wall. She tied her shirt in a knot, and then smiled at the girl. When she saw the mermaid's face, she felt completely stunned.
The girl was truly beautiful. She had the most amazing brown eyes, pale freckled skin- far more than Luna ever had -adorable rosy cheeks, and the cutest bucktooth teeth. She couldn't help but smile larger as she looked at the mermaid. In seconds, her face was aflame.
"Wow... you are..." Luna cleared her throat, and the brown-eyed girl bit her lip with a shy smile and then looked at the ocean. "What's... your name?" Luna said, finding that it was becoming harder and harder to breath. God, she was beautiful. Overwhelming beautiful.
"Hermione..." She flushed, twirling a lock of hair around her finger. "And yours?" Hermione's soft voice parted through the crash of the ocean waves, almost like the ocean wanted her to be heard.
"Luna." Said the blonde, grinning like a buffoon. "What happened?" She said, leaning against the rock next to Hermione.
The mermaid let out a soft sigh. "Fishermen happened. I saw a fish on a hook under the water, and I started to take him off but I was pulled up and out of the water harshly. I was on a... what's that thing called..." She whispered to herself, bringing her fingers to her mouth and biting her nails nervously.
"A boat?" Luna chimed in, and Hermione snapped her fingers. "Yes! That! Giant metal whale... thing..." She muttered, trailing off. She was clearly embarrassed about her lack of knowledge with human machines. "A-And they threw the net on me. They hung me upside down over the side. I wa-was so scared... my-my body was getting squeezed. I was a-a-able to get off the hook, but cut myself on s-some scrap metal. I-I kept swimming and swimming..." Her eyes were filled with tears that threatened to spill at any given moment. "And then I washed up here." She said, almost inaudibly.
Luna put a comforting hand on her new friend's, giving her support. "You're safe now." She whispered, giving her a soft smile. Hermione's heart melted instantly, but she tried to shake herself out of this insane feeling.
Nonono... not a human. Don't do this, Hermione! Think about what happened to all the other ones.
Luna watched Hermione, but the blue-eyed girl had nothing else to say. She simply watched this beauty have an internal struggle with herself. Luna saw the tear slip from the mermaid's eye, and instantly acted. She moved her hand to Hermione's cheek and wiped the tear away. "Hey, it's alright." She whispered, giving her a reassuring smile. This only made Hermione more flustered, worried, and insanely giggly.
"I can't go back like this..." She whispered, ushering to her wound. Luna nodded, and stood up. "Hey um, you're..." She ushered to Hermione's lower half. Hermione looked down and her cheeks flushed. She forgot she would transform to human looks after a while. She pulled her knees to her chest, and Luna dug into her bag and pulled out a lavender colored bouffant style dress. She carefully walked to the mermaid and stood her up. She turned her around, making sure the makeshift bandage was on tight, before sliding the dress onto Hermione. The newly human girl's legs were wobbling. As much as Luna wanted her to at least try and walk, she really couldn't have her doing that. She carefully picked the girl up in her arms; draping her jacket over her and walked home in nothing but a pink plaid print bra.
Luna arrived at her house in no time, and she walked to the door, moving Hermione to one arm and opening the door. She moved inside and put Hermione on her sofa before softly closing the door behind her. Then, she walked to her kitchen and began getting a salad ready.
Curious, Hermione walked into the kitchen and looked over Luna's shoulder as she chopped vegetables. "What are you doing?" She chirped, making Luna let out a soft chuckle. "I'm making something for you to eat. Sit down." She purred, and the girl nodded, stumbling over to the couch and plopping down while kicking her legs happily. Luna shook her head softly, and soon walked over to Hermione holding two bowls of salad. She sat down next to her and handed her a bowl and then a fork.
Hermione looked curiously at the two items, eyes glittering softly. She watched Luna take her fork and stab the leaves, then guide them up to her mouth and take a bite. Hermione copied her actions, kicking her legs while humming to herself. Luna finished her salad quickly while Hermione struggled to. Luna yawned softly, blinking tiredly. "I need to sleep, and you should too." The brunette nodded solemnly, but as Luna stood up and began to walk away, a much smaller hand clasped around her wrist. She stopped dead in her tracks before turning to Hermione, smiling.
Hermione's face was beet red, and she carefully removed a pearl bracelet from her wrist and put it on Luna's with glimmering eyes. Luna's heart melted, and she smiled softly. "I love it." She whispered, giving the mermaid a gentle hug. Hermione giggled and looked at Luna with a smile, before pulling Luna back on the couch. Luna's smile was replaced with confusion as Hermione cuddled into her side, making the land-walker extremely flustered. "Stay here." Hermione whispered, and looked up at Luna with pleading eyes. The blonde smiled softly, running a hand through Hermione's hair. "Of course." She chirped, and stood up. "Tuck your legs in." Luna said, and Hermione obeyed. Luna slid out the mattress part of the bed and disappeared into a different room for a few minutes, and came back in pajamas and with blankets and pillows. She dug out some pajamas and had Hermione turn around, carefully helping her into the tank top and shorts. She then placed the pillows at the head, before laying down and pulling the blankets over her and Hermione.
The mermaid soon snuggled into Luna's side, and began slowly drifting to sleep.
The two girls walked together to the shore, and Hermione was holding Luna's hand tightly. They reached the rock overhang and Hermione looked into the water before back at Luna. The blonde seemed to be upset, but she tried her absolute best to hide it. "This is where we say goodbye." Luna said, a melancholy hint to her voice. Hermione shuffled her bare feet in the sand, and then looked sadly at Luna.
"But you saved my life. I can't just never see you again." She sighed out, painful tears stinging her eyes. Luna wiped them away instantly. "I don't want you to get hurt, but I won't stop you... if you do try and come back. I'd really like to see you again." She breathed, and Hermione's face lit up. "Okay!" She said excitedly, eyes sparkling. "I... I'll be back! I promise!" Hermione said, giving Luna a quick hug before rushing into the water.
Luna smiled, but just as she was sure to reach the height where she would transform, she stopped. She turned and ran back to the beach, wrapping her arms around Luna's neck and giving her a soft peck on the lips. "I'll finish that when I'm back." She said, playfully, then dove into the ocean without another glance.
Luna smiled softly. She could not wait to see that face again.
Luna waited patiently on the shore, a new book in hand. She flipped through the pages, but her eyes glistened with happiness as she saw the violet sparkle against the water.
Luna diverted her eyes to the water, smiling softly. Hermione, in human form, splashed through the water before engulfing Luna in a tight embrace. Luna laughed, pulling out of the hug and kissing her girlfriend's lips lovingly. Hermione's eyes glistened as she looked at Luna, and the blonde cocked her eyebrow. "I know that look. What did you do?"
Hermione smiled, and without missing a beat, sang the next words. "I'm staying like this. I can be human for weeks at a time now, babe." Hermione giggled happily, clapping her hands.
Luna's grin was uncontrollable as she pushed her girlfriend onto the shore and kissed her lips, cheeks, and forehead all while the flailing girl beneath her squealed happily.
Luna kissed her lips, not daring to part this time. Her hand slithered into Hermione's hair as she sat on her, smiling softly as she pulled away. Their foreheads rested together and the love between them shone brightly. It was unbreakable.
"I love you, my little sea princess." Purred Luna, kissing her nose happily.
Hermione giggled. "I love you too, my land strider."
They laid there for hours, and though they could've gone to Luna's home; it wasn't truly home.
The ocean was their home. Both of theirs. One born in it, the other by it's side. It made them strong, and who they are.
And it helped them find each other; their soulmates.
