Chapter Eleven
Cherri's POV
I crept into Aunt Rachel's room. Her snoring blared as my neon dance shoes squeaky away. I entered the glass room and shut the door behind me and sighed.
I finally made it.
The walls -made of glass- surrounded each and every inch of the barrier around me. The wood floor was slippery but rough enough to dance on. I smirked, Here I go.
I turned on my ipod and let it blast through the speakers. My feet glided against the soft wood as I danced. I smiled widely at how much emotion i could get out through dancing.
Earlier That Day...
"Don't be such a bum, Karlee." I giggled. My friend Karlee rolled her eyes in annoyance," I cant help being a bum if i feel lazy." she replied.
"Well you need to practice somehow" Nikki gestured toward the empty dance studio. Karlee then smiled and took off her sandals and but on her ballet shoes. I couldn't believe that she was about to show her "awesome moves" to us for the first time.
The music stared soft, she started off with an scale then sashayed toward a corner of the room. As you can tell, her style of dance was mostly ballet. Karlee has loved ballet since she was 2. (the same age that she started walking) She would always have a swift movement in her ballet and a smile across her face as she danced. Karlee loved splits and bridges and anything involving flexibility.
Nikki and I both applauded her once she finished her routine. She was breathing hard and her ballet shoes seems to have warn out. Kaylee flipped her sand colored hair over her shoulder then gathered her books.
"Wow, seems like ballet is a lot of work." Nikki said plainly.
Kaylee rolled her eyes,"Of course it is! Like any other style of dance!"
I laughed at Kaylee's remark then continued walked to my Hip-Hop dance class. "Do you do any other style of dance Kaylee?" I asked her once we reached the studio.
"Well once I tried out jazz, but I didn't like it much." she said. I smiled at her then began stretching for class.
Ms. Rassia walked into class with a smile on her face. She had explained to us that a couple students have been promoted from their spots.
"Natalie Corri, Lania Morbin, Raven Payne ..." she trailed off.
Raven got promoted? Why? I thought selfishly.
It seems like she got the spot ahead of me now. She smirked sheepishly as she walked pass me. I glared at her as she took her spot in the front. "Of course she feels so good of herself now." I thought.
Once class was over Raven was waiting for me outside of class. She snorted at me like she already knew what I was gonna say. I glared at her for a moment then decided to walk toward the cafeteria.
"Don't be so jealous that I'm in the front now," she said with a devilish smirk "just means that I'm better than you." she finished coldly. "Shut up!" I yelled then ran into the cafeteria.
I knew that she was going to come after me for yelling at her so I ran to the furthest table in the cafeteria. I sighed in defeat I knew that she wasn't going to give up.
