Shit...what time was it? When you had parted ways from Aizawa and Shinsou, you ran towards the direction he said Bakugou would be in, but that didn't last long. Now you were walking, your breath quick and tired sounding, and right now you were throwing up in a dark alleyway. You wiped your mouth off and sighed, making your way back into the street to keep moving forward.

"He better still be there, and then we can get back to the hotel, and I can sleep."

The moon was lowering now, but it still illuminated the river as the water came into view. The water was high risen and you raised an eyebrow as your (E/C) eyes scanned the bank. Was it always so...flooded, this time of the year? You pursed your lips and made your way closer, turning to walk along the river. The grass was wet from the new forming dew as it brushed across your worn out boots and stained them with water. Your vision trailed down and along the rivers edge, and you squinted before smiling. Finally.

Bakugou was laying down in the grass, his arms bent back behind his head and one leg rested on top of his knee. As you got closer, you noticed how unrelaxed he really looked; he was normally tense, but now, he looked burdened, uncomfortable even. The grass silenced your feet as you stood a few feet from the blonde. Pouting your lips, you leaned forward a bit to see if his eyes were open, and a tired and quiet voice made you flinch.

"(F/N)."

You put your hands up as you winced and looked down, your eye twitching as Bakugou looked up at you with one, crimson eye. And you thought you could sneak up on him. You sighed and sat down next to Bakugou, pushing your cloak away and laying your skirt out to not get dirty. The cold earth surprisingly felt nice against your legs; the medicine and bandages were a life saver. Bakugou didn't sit up, but he exhaled deeply, his foot gently tapping to a steady beat. When he closed his eyes again, his face scrunched up, as if he were figuring out what to do; what to say. The river still rushed across from the two of you, but even then, the silence was louder. Finally, he spoke up, his voice more irritated than before, but still quiet.

The boy grit his teeth and his face contorted. You tilted your head and went to question him, but he interrupted you, furrowing his eyebrows like he knew you would try to speak over him.

Bakugou quickly sat up and crossed his legs, holding his head with one hand, pouting his lips and glancing over at you. His eyes were shining like usual in the night, staring into your own (E/C) ones until you looked away, gripping the material of your dress nervously.

He began to mumble the more he spoke, and it bothered you that you could barely understand. Over time, small and minuscule words became familiar, but not to the extent that you wanted. Watching Bakugou try to explain himself made you realize how frustrated he was as well; he knew that no matter what he said now, you'd never get it. Maybe Kirishima could help in the future?
