Like an unsent message
genetics lie dormant
waiting
for nature's signal.Spring winds
like old friends
whisper the encouragement
and the seed finds its way to the surface
with new shoots
new roots-
a stem with a fragile bud
otherworldly beauty sent to this earth. Now free
stretching hungrily
towards the light that brings salvation,
white petals
purer than the forgotten snow
letting us know
that this flower is a Survivor,
a Thriver,
that this world won't bring it down.
