Ethan's POV (beginning of lunch)

We had just sat down at my usual table. A few minutes later my friends came over. "Hey man. What's up?" Mason asks.

"Nothing, just talking to Emily. Guys this is Emily, she's new here. Emily these are my friends, Jared, Mason, Daniel, Kevin, and Justin." I tell her.

"Hi." she says quietly.

"Hey." they all said.

"So Emily, can I call you Em?" Justin asks. He winked, I growled lowly. Out of the corner of my eye I see Emily look at me, then she turned back to look at him.

"I guess." she says unsure.

"Cool." Justin says nonchalantly.

'Stop that!' I yelled at him through the pack link.

'What? I didn't do anything.' He states.

'Stop flirting with her' I told him.

'Why?' he responded.

'Stop' I ordered. He immediately listened to me. I hate using my using my Alpha tone with my friends, but he was pushing it too far. I turn to look at Emily. As if sensing my eyes on her she looks up at me. I see her nose scrunch up, and her eyes zone out. I wonder what she's thinking about.

I see her come back, and she takes a bite of her pizza. "Yuck!" she shrieks.

"That is the worst pizza I have ever had, and I've had a few encounters with bad pizza." We all burst out laughing, except for her.

"What?" she asks, confused.

"That's w-why... we... d-don't eat... s-school food." Mason says through laughs.

"You could have told me!" she practically yelled.

"Yeah but your reaction was priceless!" I say while holding my stomach. She looked like she was thinking it over. After a minute she joins us. Everyone was looking at us because we were being so loud.

"I... guess... y-y-your... right." she says while laughing. After five minutes or so we try to stop laughing.

"I'm sorry for yelling" she says.

"I-I-it's o-k-kay" Kevin says between laughs.

"And I-I-I'm s-sorry we didn't t-tell y-you ab-bout th-the f-food" Alex says as best as he could, seeing as he was trying to breath right.

"It's a-al-alright" she says between giggles. She sounds so cute when she giggles. It is the most angelic sound I have ever heard in my life.

"Anyways..." Daniel says after we all calm down.

*Ring*

"Oh wow the time flew by fast!" Emily says.

"Yeah." I say.

"Well I have Maths next" she states.

"Really us too." Jared says.

"All of you?" she asks.

"Yup" says Daniel popping the p, as usual.

"Well I'll see you guys there then. Wait, is it okay if I sit by you guys?" she asks.

"Yeah. Right?" I ask the guys.

"Fine by me." says Justin.

"Same." say Daniel and Kevin.

"I don't care" states Mason.

"Your cool, so that's fine by me." says Alex.

"Cool see you guys in a few." she says.

"Bye." we all say.

"Well I guess we all made a new friend." I say.

"Yeah, about that..." Justin trails off.

"Why are you being so... protective?" Justin asks.

"Well..." I say. What should I say? Should I just tell them, or should I lie. They are my best friends. I'll just tell them.

"She's my mate." I whisper so only they could hear. I heard them gasp.

"No way."

"You got lucky."

"She's gorgeous."

"She's gonna be our Luna?" All different stuff.

"I know. I know." I said with a dorky smile on my face.

"But, something feels different about her. I mean I know she's just a human, but it seems like she's more than that. I smell something. I don't know what but its... off."

"I know what you mean. At first I thought she was just another human and I wondered why she caught your attention, but then I smelt, well I don't know what it was but it was, like you said, off." Daniel said.

"Well we better get going." Kevin said.

"Kay, see ya." I told them as they headed off to their lockers.
