Time For A Run

Ethan's POV (after he drops Emily off)

I race home, eager to meet up with Justin. Once I get to the Pack House I park my car in the garage. I race up the steps that lead into the house. I walk into the living-room to see he's sitting on the chair closest to the window, looking out. "You ready?" He jumps up out of the chair.

"Jesus! You scared me!" He exclaims.

"Sorry bro. I thought you would of heard me, I guess not." I tell him.

"So where do you want to start?"

"How bout with the date" I answer after minute.

"Cool. What's the time limit?"

"Within two weeks" I let him know.

"Thought so..." he trails off.

"What's wrong?" I ask him.

"Nothing. Don't you remember that your birthday is in four days, maybe you should introduce her then." he suggests.

"Hey, that's a good idea. I totally for got about that. Well now we have the date. What else do we need?"

"What are you going to wear?"

"Umm... Probably something dressy."

"Okay, now the rest is up to the Alpha, Luna, and Emily." he lets me know.

"Wow, that was fast. I thought it would take longer."

"Nope. All your parents need to do is set up how we will introduce her. Then Emily needs to find something to wear."

"Cool, well you can go back to doing whatever it was you were doing. I'm going to my room."

"See you later bro." he says while I walk away.

"Bye." I wave back at him.

When I get up to my room I decide that I will mark my beautiful mate before the ceremony. I look at the time. It's only 8:30.

'Wanna go for a run' I ask my wolf.

'Yes' he replies excitedly. 'Okay, where to?'

'Until we tire' he answers.

'That could be a while' I let him know.

'I haven't been out in a couple of weeks, and I just met our mate. I need this.'

'Okay.' I guess this is going to be a long night.

"I'm going for a run" I tell my mom.

"Okay sweetie. How long are you going to be?"

"I don't know. Seth said he wants to go until we get tired. He's had a lot of excitement today, and he hasn't been out in a while."

"Okay, I'll see you later."

"Kay. Love you." I yell on my way out of the door.

After five minutes of non-stop running, I contact my wolf. 'What's with our mate's smell?' I ask him the question that's been on my mind all day. 'She's different I know' he answers simply.

'Yeah, but how?'

'I don't know, maybe she's hiding something. Ask her tomorrow, maybe she'll know.'

'Yeah I guess your right.' I sigh ending the conversation.

After a few hours I notice my wolf getting excited. 'What's up?'

'We are close.' he answers vaguely.

'Close to where.' that's when I smell it- her.

'Mate.' He urges me to run faster. Once I get to the back of the house, I shift back and put some shorts on. I sniff the air.

'The third window on the left'. my wolf tells me. I look up and see the window is open. I climb up the side of the house until I reach her window.

I climb through silently. I look over at the bed to see her sleeping. I walk over to her and climb in next to her. "Mate." I whisper out loud. She stirs a little. 'Mark her.' he begs me.

'No. She is asleep, and she has to want it'. I say sternly. She looks to peaceful to disturb. After a few minutes I find myself slowly dozing off.

I wake up with a start. I realize someone is shaking me. "Wake up. Wake up." she shakes me gently. I feel tingles running through my body.

"Mate." I say out loud. She laughs, a musical laugh.

"Yes it is I, your gorgeous mate, Emily. Now get up sleepy head." She playfully pushes my shoulder.

"Hey." I hold my shoulder pretending to be hurt.

"That really hurt, you know."

"Pshh, yeah hurt." She put air quotes around hurt. "I couldn't even hurt a fly." she says innocently.

"Good point." I laugh.

I then realize where we are. Craptastic! I probably look like a crazy stalker. I'm in her friggen bed, where I fell asleep. At least she doesn't look bothered. I find her looking at my chest. I smirk. "Like what you see?" I ask. She comes closer

"Maybe." she whispers seductively. I groan. Man this girl could turn me on anytime of the day.

She looks down and giggles. "Someone's getting a little excited, eh?"

"Yeah, only you can help me fix it though" I whisper, while running my hands her arms. She blushes.

"Holy crap! Your freezing!" I exclaim. I pull her closer, so she's on my lap. She curls up to my chest.

"We should probably get ready for school." she mumbles into my chest. I sigh.

"I guess your right." I grumble.
