Tuesday "Why do, why do, why do, why do I want you even though you make it hard and I don't want to? Now I am out here catching feelings like I want you but all you ever do is look away" Clare's pov I groaned and got off the bed to turn the alarm off because dad was dead asleep and so was Demi but since I was already awake there was no way I was going to fall back asleep I grabbed my phone and saw that it was eleven, so I figured I would wake them up because it's getting late. I decided I would wake up Demi first since she's easier and then I'll let her wake up dad so I gently shook her until she opened her eyes. End of pov Demi: what time is it Clare? Clare: eleven Demi: crap nick and I have to be at the record label for a meeting at twelve thirty Clare: well I'll let you wake him up, I am going downstairs Demi: okay (Clare gets off the bed and Demi looks over at nick and kisses him until he opens his eyes) Nick: well good morning to you too (smiles) Demi: good morning (smiles) I would love to stay and cuddle but we have a meeting with Phil at the record label Nick: (signs) alright what time is it? Demi: eleven Nick: want to take a quick shower? Demi: fine but it better be quick (smirks, and gets off the bed and walks into the bathroom and turns to look at him) Demi: you coming or you going to keep checking out my ass (Nick gets off the bed and follows her to the bathroom, and Clare's downstairs and sees joe in the kitchen starting breakfast) Clare: morning uncle joe Joe: hey kiddo want to help me cook? Clare: you cook? Is it edible or poisonous Joe: haha very funny, you want to help or not? Clare: sure what are you making? Joe: French toast with bacon Clare: yum (jumps on the counter and sits by the stove but not close enough so she won't get burnt) Joe: you can crack the egg Clare: okay (grabs the egg) Joe: wait, have you ever cracked an egg before? Clare: nope Joe: okay well you want to be gentle but not to gentle otherwise it won't crack but if you hit it to hard the egg will break or the shell will get into the bowl and you don't want that to happen Clare: okay I got it (gently hits the egg against the bowl until it cracked half way and then she pours the yolk into the bowl) Joe: that was good now pour the vanilla extract, cinnamon and stir it Clare: okay Clare's pov Twenty minutes later eight French toasts were made along with the bacon and then Demi, dad, uncle kev, aunt Dani and the girls came downstairs. End of POV Dani: am I still dreaming or did joe actually cook Clare: I helped out FYI Demi: you did? Are we going to die Joe: no your not going to die and I am a bit offended that you don't think I can cook Nick: no offense joe but when we were teens you didn't even know what a colander was Joe: yeah yeah just sit and eat Alena: so what's the plan today? Nick: Demi and I have to be at the record label for most of the day Kevin: we are going to start looking at houses Joe: so you told them the good news Tina: yes! Nick: I take it you guys are happy about moving here then Alena: of course Dani: yeah I am going to miss jersey but I think it's time for something new Clare: change is always good Dani: yeah (smiles) what about you joe? Joe: I got nothing planned so I could just tag along for the house hunting Clare: me too Kevin: alright let's eat and then we'll meet the real estate agent Joe: okay Clare's pov We finished eating I managed to finish the French toast with half a piece of bacon and then the girls and I went upstairs to get dressed, dad and Demi left the house and the rest of the adults went to get get ready to go. I decided on a black flower see through top with white skinny jeans and my converse, Alena wore a wine colored crop top with black skinny jeans with converse and Tina decided on a light pink crop top with jean shorts and sandals. I put my hair up in a high pony tail, Alena left hers down and Tina did a braid and we were ready to go so we went downstairs and watched some tv since the adults weren't ready yet. One episode of Greys anatomy later the adults were ready and we were out of the house. End of pov Kevin: so we are going to meet the agent at the first house it's still here in Beverly Hills so it's not that far Dani: yeah we want you girls to be able to go to the same school Clare: aren't we doing virtual school? Dani: when we go back on tour yeah but if we are here in Cali I don't see why you guys can't go to school Tina: ugh mom can't we just stay home schooled Kevin: you girls weren't home schooled in jersey and you should be around other teens Alena: wouldn't that just cause trouble Joe: no because you guys aren't going to get into trouble Clare: keep dreaming uncle joe (Ten minutes later kev parks in front of a mansion and they get out of the car and see the real estate agent) Kevin: hi you must be Jane we spoke on the phone I am Kevin, this is my brother joe, my wife Dani and kids Alena and Valentina and my niece Clare Alena: hi Tina: hello Clare: what's up Joe: Clare Clare: what? Joe: be polite Clare: fine I am sorry Jane hello Jane: hi everyone it's nice to meet you, why don't you follow me and we can look at the inside of the house Dani: okay great (They start walking into the mansion) Alena: wow Valentina: I know right look at how beautiful the fire place is Clare: the windows and backyard remind me of the house in twilight because there's so many trees Dani: I know and it's very private which is a good thing Kevin: can we go outside? Jane: of course just walk around and I'll be here if you have any questions or concerns Dani: thank you (They walk outside and see a gorgeous patio with a lot of space and in the middle is a pool and across from it is a jacuzzi) Clare: oh my god look at the size of the jacuzzi! Valentina: I know right, it's so pretty and because there are so many trees it feels like a pool in the middle of a forest Clare: I know it's really cool Kevin: babe what do you think? Dani: it's beautiful (wraps her arms around his waist) Kevin: can you see our family in this house? Dani: I think so but let's go upstairs and look in the rooms Kevin: okay, girls come on let's go inside Girls: okay! Joe: it's a beautiful house guys Kevin: that's what Dani keeps saying Valentina: there's a home theater! Clare: and a pool table! Joe: since when do you know how to play pool Clare? Clare: Ricky taught me Joe: well in that case want to do a round? Clare: sure (grabs the pool sticks and hands one to joe) Alena: well while you two play we are going to look around some more Joe: okay just don't break anything Valentina: shouldn't we be saying that to you? Considering you break everything Joe: I'll have you know I take offense to that Alena: yeah yeah have fun playing you two (they leave the theater room and let joe and Clare play and go upstairs and see their parents in the master bedroom) Dani: so girls what do you think? Alena: it's gorgeous but it's only the first house do you think we should look around some more? Dani: I think Alena's got a point babe maybe we should keep looking and keep this one in mind Kevin: okay let's go tell Jane Dani: okay (They walk back downstairs and fine joe and Clare just finished playing pool) Joe: I can't believe you beat me Clare: ha I told you not to underestimate me Joe: yeah yeah no one likes a gloater Clare Clare: your just upset because I beat you (smirks) Jane: so what do you think of the house? Kevin: it's beautiful but we want to keep our options open Jane: okay no problem I have a few other houses in mind so just follow my car Kevin: okay thanks (They leave the house and five minutes later they arrive at the second house) Clare: this one looks like a bunch of mini houses stacked together Valentina: I know but it looks cool Alena: like one of those houses you see in futuristic movies Dani: yeah come on guys let's get down (they get out of the car and so does Jane) Jane: alright follow me inside Alena's pov As soon as we stepped into the second house we saw a white glass staircase, with a really spacious living room area, and the windows let in so much sunshine into the house and then we walked into the kitchen and the counters were steel with windows looking out into the backyard which had another beautiful pool, and bedrooms that were painted a really pretty gray while the living rooms were white and when we finished looking at that house we went to a third one and this one took our breath away it wasn't to big but it wasn't small either it was the perfect size, and when we walked inside the first thing we saw a beautiful staircase that led to the bedrooms. There were six bedrooms each with bathrooms and walk in closets, and the backyard was filled with trees which meant plenty of privacy, it had a gorgeous pool with a jacuzzi right across. I looked over at my parents and I could tell they had fallen in love with it too hopefully enough to make this our future home. A little while later we finished walking around the house and dad told Jane that they would talk about it some more and give her a call when we decided so we said bye to Jane and got in the car. End of pov Clare's POV I think we can all agree the third house was absolutely breathtaking, we were driving back to my house when my phone started vibrating and saw that my dad was calling so I answered. End of pov Phone convo Clare: hey daddy Nick: hey princess how's the house hunting going? Clare: we just finished but there all beautiful I don't know how they are going to decide Nick: haha well Demi and I just finished recording and were wondering if you have had lunch yet? Clare: no you want us to meet you somewhere? Nick: yeah see if they want to meet us at roof top grill Clare: ooo my favorite, okay I'll ask (puts the phone down) hey guys nick wants to know if you want to meet us at roof top grill Kevin: yeah sure we'll be there in 30 depending on traffic Clare: okay I'll tell him (picks the phone back up) hey dad kev says we'll be there in 30 Nick: more like 40 traffic's insane Clare: are you there yet? Nick: no we are still like 20 minuets away Clare: okay we'll see you there Nick: alright love you Clare: love you too (Hangs up the phone and then it rings again and she sees it's Selena) Phone convo Clare: hi mommy Selena: hey baby how are you? Clare: I am good how are you? Selena: I am good I was calling you to tell you that we are going to be in LA tomorrow and Justin and I have a two week break and we want you to come on vacation with us before school starts Clare: okay sounds fun where are we going? Justin: we were thinking Costa Rica or Brazil what do you think? Clare: definitely brazil, it'll be cool to stay in Rio! Justin: okay we'll book it tonight Clare: have you talked to dad yet mom? Selena: no I'll call him tonight Clare: okay sounds good, anyways we are going to at roof top grill now so I'll call you tonight Selena: okay eat something, I love you Clare: love you too End of phone convo Clare's pov Forty minutes later we arrived at roof top grill and dad and Demi had already reserved the table so we walked inside and met up with them, I gave dad and Demi a hug and then sat in the middle of them while uncle joe sat in front of us with Alena and Valentina on either side and then kev and Dani. We all got burgers and fries and when we were done we were heading back home where we spent the rest of the day playing family board games until my phone rang again and I saw that it was Ricky so I let Alena take my turn and went to answer it. Phone convo Ricky: hey babe Clare: hey Ricky sorry I haven't called today been busy Ricky: it's okay but I miss you can I come over or take you out tonight? Clare: how about you come over we are just having family game night, you can join us if you want Ricky: yeah sure I just want to spend time with you Clare: okay I'll tell my dad Ricky: alright I'll be there in a bit Clare: okay love you Ricky: love you too End of convo Clare: hey daddy is it okay if Ricky comes over? Nick: yeah Clare: thank you! Nick: your welcome Joe: I'll be honest I am starting to like that kid Clare: really uncle joe? Joe: yeah he's just had a rough past it wouldn't be fair to judge him for it Kevin: joe's right Nick: well I am your dad so I am not supposed to like any of your boyfriends Clare: but... Nick: but he's not that bad there I said it Demi: I bet it hurt you to say that (Laughs) Nick: little bit Demi: aww your letting your little girl grow up (hugs him) Nick: Yeah yeah who's turn is it? Valentina: mine (picks a card from the charade deck and acts out an animal when the door rings) Clare: I got it (gets off the couch and opens the door) Ricky: hey babe (gives her a hug and pecks her on the lips) Clare: (smiles into the kiss and pulls away a few seconds later) hi Ricky: how are you? Clare: better now that you're here Ricky: that was so cheesy but your cute so I forgive you Clare: come on we are playing charades Ricky: cool are we a team? Clare: sure (Ricky and Clare get to the living room and this time Kevin is acting out an animal) Joe: turtle! Nick: in what world does a turtle have pointy ears joe Dani: cheetah! Kevin: Dani got it Dani: yes! That's another point for me and I am officially in the lead Clare: well now it's our turn and we are tied Dani: okay I'll save my victory dance for later Alena: please don't Clare: Ricky's officially on my team Demi: hi Ricky Ricky: hi Demi, hi nick Nick: hey Clare: okayyy I am picking the card Clare's pov I picked the card and saw that it said step up movies, I showed Ricky the card and he smirked at me because we know we have this one because one we can dance and two there are a bunch of dance movies. Ricky and I started doing the dance that Ricky and Camille do in step up 3. End of pov Valentina: step up 3! The scene where moose and Camille are on the street dancing Clare: how did you know! Valentina: that's the best step up movie duh Alena: Tina's got a point Clare's pov We did a couple more rounds of charades and then decided to marathon step up and around twelve Ricky had to go home and we all went to bed. Authors note: hey guys I know it's been months since I have written and I am really sorry about that I have been going through some stuff but I am back and I am so excited to be back I have so many ideas on how to continue the story and I want to know how much of you guys are still reading so I want to let you guys pick the house Kevin and Dani move into. I am going to put pictures of 3 houses and leave the number in the comment section, whichever house gets the most votes is the one that I'll choose and then I'll post pics of the full house once you guys choose, I can't wait to hear from you guys and update again as soon as possible!
