Chapter 5

Authors POV

Blossom and Brick stopped at a diner for their lunch break.

Blossom ordered a chicken salad with water while Brick ordered a cheeseburger and sprite.

"Do you really think that Boomer guy was telling the truth?" Brick asked as he took a bit out of his cheeseburger.

Blossom was looking at the files when he asked her. "I don't know maybe but his wife confirmed his alibi." Blossom replied

She looked up to see mustard on brick's noise. She smiled

"Uhh... Brick you got something." Blossom said as she pointed to her noise

He poked his noise and smiled. He rubbed the mustard off and wiped it on a napkin.

"Who would be next?" Brick asked

"Luis ex wife, Buttercup." Blossom said as she looked at the file on her

"They have a daughter and she got remarried to Butch Green." He continued as she ate her salad

"Can I see that?" Brick asked as Blossom gave him the file.

He read through it.

"Oh I need to stop by the office to get something from Berserk." Blossom said as she drank her water

"Ugh." Brick groaned. Blossom smiled. "I know you don't like her but she's has something I need."

"She was always a bitch to me." Brick complained

Back in high school Berserk and Brick would always fight for little things. She always hog Blossom from him. She was the one who ruined his chances

"She changed.... a little." Blossom mumbled the lady part.

Brick rolled his eyes and asked the waitress for a check.

And then they were out.

Blossom walked into the office and went straight to Berserk.

She knocked. "Come in." Said the other voice. Blossom opened the door and walked to her

"Hey." Berserk smiled as she saw her best friend. "Hi." Blossom replied

"What do you need?" Berserk asked

"Information on Butch Green. Oh and guess who I have with me." Blossom smiled

Berserk raised an eyebrow. "Who?"

"Brick Jojo." Blossom said

Berserk jumped out her her seat shocked. "What?!" She asked

"You know the one from high school." Blossom said.

Berserk rolled her eyes. She didn't like him. "Why? He's a jerk and an asshole!" Berserk protested

"Not until you get to know him." Blossom replied

Berserk knew Brick liked Blossom that's why she didn't like him. She didn't want him to take her best friend away.

"Just be carful of him." Berserk said calming her voice.

"Okay?" Blossom said trying to not make it a question.

"Get me the file when I get back." Blossom said rushing out of the her office and going to her's

Berserk laid back in her chair and sighed.

"You better not hurt her Brick."
She mumbled.
