It'd been a while since he last checked on you. You've been in here for longer than you cared to count. Laying on the ground, you started counting the cracks on the ceiling.

You hear that sweet familiar key jangle and see the man himself. You sat up quickly before he fully entered and grabbed the bar you broke off a few days ago under your dress. You readied it and mentally prepared yourself to beat him over the head with it until he passed out.

He walked over to you. You noticed a bruise around his left eye, and you let your caring side get the best of you. "What happened?" He groaned and traced his finger around the outline of the bruise, "I'm fine. You aren't gonna be though when I'm done with you." Oh shit... you were deathly afraid of what he meant by that. There were times in the relationship when he did... force himself on you. He made his way towards you while he unbuttoned his pants. He bent over and WHACK. Your fine ass knocked that bitch out. You grabbed the keys from his pants and unlocked your chains. You decided to leave him in an embarrassing position. He already had his ass exposed so you just put it up in the air. You put the cuffs around his arms and legs, then tightened the length so he wouldn't be able to get out of that position unless he really tried.

You walked over to the entrance of your jail and looked for any people that might've been watching. There wasn't anyone. Of course he wasn't smart enough to hire a guard.

The room around you was the opposite of the cell you were just in. It was in prestigious conditions. The brick walls and marble floor were sparkling in contrast to the broken down rubble that was your prison. Thats when you realized something. You knew where you were. When you were dating Richard he always talked about this "boys club" he would throw parties at and hire prostitutes. You assumed the cage was where he put them when they tried to "leave the party early". He really has always been a sick son of a bitch.

You walked outside to the city being as busy as usual, but you forgot you looked like shit and probably smelled like it too. Talking to someone to ask for directions probably wouldn't end well but you noticed the phone booth down the road. Thankfully your city keeps a few installed just in case. You needed two quarters and by some stroke of luck you found them on the street. You thought of the only number you remembered.
You waited patiently for him to pick up,
*click*
"Hello?"
A sigh escaped your lips,
"Hey, its me."
Immediately you were bombarded with questions,
"(Y/n)! Oh my god, what happened to you? I've been going crazy trying to find you. Please tell me you're okay! Where are you?"
It took a second to take in the sudden game of 20 questions,
"I'll tell you on the way to your place. Im at the phone booth on Webber street."
You heard a hurried "on my way" before the phone hung up. You sat on a bench beside the phone booth, keeping your head down in case Richard woke up. You also kept it down because you looked and probably smelled like shit.
A familiar face walked towards you. You ran up to him and stopped because you suddenly realized how
Shitty you probably looked. That didn't stop him though. He hugged you despite the mess you were.
"Henry... thank you so much for getting me. Can we go home?"
The use of the word "home" startled and warmed Henry. You didn't think much of it but you knew he'd want an explanation and he had a shower, food, and a really comfy couch. You started to explain the jist of it on the way home when you noticed how angry he was getting. (For good reason lmao) You put a hand on his, "I called the police while I was waiting. He won't bother me again, okay? Don't worry." You saw him calm some. You still could tell he looked really worried but you did get kidnapped in his house so he had many reasons to be worried you guessed.
When you got to his house he let you borrow one of his button ups and some pj pants so you could get out of your, now ruined, dress. You took a long, long hot shower and changed into his clothes. He couldn't hide the smile that etched on his face when you walked in the living room in his clothes.
You sat down beside him on the couch and told him the full story.
You told him about how you met Richard in college and quickly became smitten. He fooled you into thinking he was a kind guy. Going to school for business so he could run his father's business one day and use the money to help people. You didn't start dating until after college but soon into the relationship he started shutting down anything you said, putting you down, and eventually hitting you. You left as soon as you could without getting yourself killed. He had a gun on him at most times and you didn't feel like getting shot. This was the first time you've seen him in 2 years. No clue as to why all of a sudden he cared about getting revenge. Your breakup wasn't ideal. It was at a meeting for your office and you broke up with him and left him in front of everyone so he couldn't shoot you. His daddy's money could cover up a lot but not a room full of people witnessing whatever he did to you. Your bags were packed prior and you drove off to an apartment you made the down payment on the day before. You were free.

What you didn't know is that he had people keeping tabs on you and was waiting for you to go on a date before he made his move. He thought you'd come crawling back to him but he figured if you started dating someone else those odds slimmed.

Henry was furious obviously but at the moments of your story when you cried he comforted you. He handed you tissues when needed and even brought you a cup of green tea to calm you and some food. (If you don't like tea then he brought you whatever you do enjoy :) )
Crying and sharing that kind of thing with someone you barely knew should've felt odd but instead you felt at ease. A sense of calmness filled you when you finished. You fell asleep on his couch and he brought a blanket for you and draped it over you. He sat on a chair nearby and read some. Checking in on you every little bit. The police called to tell him how you called them but they didn't find you at the location where Richard was. He filled them in and planned to tell you when you woke up to go to the station and talk to them.

Things were finally getting back to normal.
