Macy's pov-

"What the hell do you mean, 'Come with me.'" I look at Bailey with a shocked face.

"Don't ask questions, I just need you to come with me," he says while looking me up and down.

I didn't reply and I just shut the door in his face. I change into a pair of black jeans and a plain striped shirt, throwing one of Bailey's hoodies over it all. I slip on my converse and open the door. Bailey grabs my hand and pulls me out the door.

"Where are we going," I ask curiously.

"You'll see," Bailey responds with a growing smirk. I can't help but smile.

He opens the car door for me and closes it once I get in. He then walks to the other side and gets in himself. Starting the car, he pulls away and starts driving.

~

I look out the car window. We've been driving for about an hour as It's only just reaching 11:45. I've either been staring at Bailey, annoying him about where we are going, or watching the stars pass by outside.

I feel the car stop and I look away from the sky. Bailey smiles at me. "You ready?"

"Honestly, I don't think so," I reply, returning the smile. I get out of the car and Bailey meets me on my side.

"Hey, I was gonna do that for you," he says with a pout.

I chuckle and pinch his cheeks, "Aw, aren't you just the cutest."

He slaps my hands away. "I'm not cute, I'm handsome."

"Sure you are," I say as I walk past him and pat his chest. He grabs my hand and I follow after him as we walk onto the boardwalk, which is still lit up. You can hear the rides running and the shouts of the party people that come out in the middle of the night. People flooding in and out of shops, food stands, ride exits.

Instantly a smile spreads out across my face and I pull Bailey towards a roller coaster. "That one first," I say like a child as I point towards a loop-de-loop roller coaster. I hear him laugh as I drag him along, my smile never leaving my face.

~

I let out a deep breath and felt the ocean water soak my feet. My hands are holding my shoes beside me as I stare into the sunrise. For the past few hours, we've been going around, riding the rides, looking in the shops, getting ice cream. It's been the best night and I guess early morning. The sunrise is a flurry of colors. Reds and yellows fading into blues and purples.

I feel Bailey come up from behind me and wrap his arms around my waist, pulling me into a hug. He bends down and whispers in my ear, "Happy birthday Macy."

"Thank you," I whisper back, closing my eyes softly as he pulls me impossibly closer to him as if I'd disappear any second. I've never felt this type of love. This feeling that feels like it will never go away and if it does, I'll never be able to live without it. I'll never be able to live without him.

Before I can even realize, the words slip out of my mouth. "I love you." I could feel Bailey still against me. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't me-"

He sharply turns me around, cutting me off. His intense stare doesn't make me feel better about this whole situation. "Say it again," he demands, surprising me.

"I love you. I love you, Bailey."

I don't even register what is going on until Bailey pulls me into a tight hug. "I love you too." I smile and before I know it, Bailey pulls away and presses his lips against mine. Not to be cheesy, but it felt like fireworks. Exploding in all directions. The kiss is filled with love not lust, passion not desperation.

I pulled away, breathless. We both break out into smiles. Without breaking eye contact, he grabs both of my hands, pulling me back towards the car. The sparks that I feel when he touches me, the ones that will forever be with me, will never go away.

We laugh as we run to the car. We get inside and start driving away from the pier, our laughter fading out. This has, by far, been the best day of my life.
