We went back to the bungalow and Owen was working on his bike and I was helping him while eating a bag of chips. Well, let's be honest, I was watching him work on his bike while eating a bag of chips.

"Hey, O, will you hand me that wrench?" He asked me.

"You have hands. Besides I'm still mad at you." I said turning away from him dramatically.

Someone pulls up in a Mercedes.

"Fancy car I wonder who's in it." I thought out loud.

The manager of this whole island, Claire, stepped out of the car.

"What's she doing here?" I asked Owen.

"What do they want now?" Owen thought out loud completely ignoring me.

"Mr. Grady? I need you to come take a look at something." Claire said.

"Why are you calling me Mr. Grady?" He asked her.

"Owen. If you're not too busy?"

"I'm pretty busy." He said.

"No, he's not," I said with a smirk.

Owen glared at me.

"We have an attraction." She said ignoring me to which I just rolled my eyes. Then I realized what she said and almost choked on my chip.

"That's not what you said the last time I saw you," Owen said.

"Wait what? Owen, you two went out? And you didn't tell me?" I asked him shocked to the max.

"I didn't know how to tell you," Owen started to explain.

"The dinosaurs, Mr. Grady," Claire said, interrupting Owen.

"Rude," I said out loud.

"Owen." He corrected.

"A new species we've made." Claire said.

"You just went and made a new dinosaur?" I asked loud enough so they could both hear me clearly this time.

"Yeah, it's uh kinda what we do here." She said to me with a glare. She turned back to Owen and continued, "The exhibit opens to the public in 3 weeks. Mr. Masrani wanted me to consult with you."

"You want to consult here, or in my bungalow?" He asked.

"Ew!" I exclaimed.

"It's not funny," Claire said unamused.

"I agree with Claire, for once," I said looking at her and she glared at me. I rolled my eyes.

Owen laughed, "It's a little funny."

"No, man. It's really not." I said to him, putting my hand on his shoulder which he shrugged off.

"We would like you to evaluate the paddock for vulnerabilities." She explained.

"Why me?" Owen asked.

"I guess that Mr. Masrani thinks since we are able to control the raptors..." Claire began, but Owen cut her off, "See, it's all about control with you. I don't control the raptors, it's a relationship. It's based on mutual respect. That's why you and I never had a second date."

"Excuse me, I never wanted a second date." Claire disagreed.

"Who prints out an itinerary for a night out?" Owen asked.

"I am an organized person," Claire said trying to justify herself, but it's not working very well.

'This is the weirdest conversation I've ever heard.'

"What kind of diet doesn't allow tequila?" Owen asked.

"All of them." Claire and I said in unison.

Owen glared at me and I decided to shut up now.

"And what kind of a man shows up to a date in boardshorts?" Claire asked and I glanced at Owen in utter confusion.

"Well, it's Central America; it's hot," Owen explained and I just sighed.

"Ok, ok. Can we just focus on the asset, please?" She asked slightly frustrated.

"The 'asset?' Look I get it. You're in charge out here, you gotta make a lot of tough decisions, it's probably easier to pretend these animals are just numbers on a spreadsheet. But they're not. They are alive." Owen explained.

"I am fully aware they're alive," Claire said.

"You might have made them in a test tube, but they don't know that. They're thinking: I gotta eat. I gotta hunt. I gotta... You can relate to at least one of those things, right?"

"Oh my god Owen, ew!" I said throwing a towel at him.

Claire stepped down from the bungalow going face to face with him, "I'll be in the car. And you might want to change your shirt, their very sensitive to smell."

Claire walked away and Owen and I both stared at her. I stared at her with my jaw dropped and I'm pretty sure Owen stared at her with heart eyes.
