Meereen

As we approach the city I'm greeted by the enormous temple of Meereen. I grow nervous of our endeavor but truly excited.

We land just as my men march into sight.

"This is it brothers, this is where we tell the world who we are. And ten we get what we've been waiting for our whole lives. They shall see that the Targaryens are still alive, and our fire will burn through Meereen and reach all the way to Westeros."

"What if they aren't willing to give over the kingdom, I mean we have been gone a long time. Maybe it's under new leadership Ri." Aemon says with doubt clear in his voice.

"Either way Aemon, this kingdom rightfully belongs to us. It was our mother who freed the cities and crucified the masters. We can do this." Illyrion says encouragingly.

As we aproach the gates they open slightly, allowing a single man to come forth. "Who are you lot, and what do you wish to achieve by marching to our gates." he yells from a safe distance, obviously intimidated by my Dothraki soldiers.

"I am Rileiria Stormborn, this kingdom once belonged to my mother and by right it now belongs to me. Let us in the gate, I promise you we mean no harm. All we want is justice. A simple meeting with Daario Naharis." I say calmly to the stranger.

He goes back through the gates and we wait for a short time. Then out of nowhere the gates begin to heave open.

We enter the city apprehensively, and we are lead to the grand temple. We enter a huge room with beautiful architecture. I've never been able to appreciate much of the worlds beauty, my world has been so small until today.

When a man enters whom I assume is the current leader.

When our eyes meet the man stumbles back, "Daenerys?! Is that truly you?" he stutters

When our eyes meet the man stumbles back, "Daenerys?! Is that truly you?" he stutters.

"Oh no, Daenerys was my mother, I'm Rileiria Stormborn and I'm here to reclaim Meereen."

He looks dumbfounded and just stares at me for some time. "How rude of me, let me introduce my brothers, Illyrion and Aemon. We're triplets, and the last of our kind." I say proudly.

Yet he still just stands and stares. "Look I get it, I look a lot like my mother and I know you were friends, but she's gone now so can we please discuss the topic at hand?" I say impatiently.

When those words leave my mouth his eyes dart to me, "What do you mean she's gone, where is she, what happened?!" he nearly yells.

"You haven't heard?" Aemon says sadly.

"Heard what?" the mysterious man blurts out.

"Our mother was murdered 7 years ago." Illyrion says with grief prevalent in his eyes.

The man falls to his knees, "Who...who would do such a thing, why?!" he weeps in the verge of tears.

"I don't know any of their names, it doesn't matter anymore they're dead now." I say sternly.

"How do you know that, that they're dead?" he says softly.

"Because I'm the one who hunted them down tortured them nearly to death, set them on fire and fed them to my dragon." I say remembering the event like it was yesterday. I was only twelve and I had to color my hair to disguise myself.

The room fell silent and the man looked at me as if I were mad but he surprised me by saying, "Well that's good then at least they got what they deserved. I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm Daario Naharis. And I knew you your mother very well, I led the Second Sons before I met her and then I killed my colleagues so she could have her army."

"Well that's true devotion, killing men who trusted you for a women you barley knew." I say honestly.

"Funny, that's exactly what she said when I delivered their heads." he said with humor in his tone.

"Well that's morbid." Aemon says.

"Anyways can we talk about the matter at hand. My brothers and I are royalty we shouldn't be living in fear residing in a small estate that no one knows about, living in the shadows. We deserve a kingdom, this kingdom."

"You think just like your mother."

"You still haven't answer my sister. What are we going to have to do to reclaim Meereen?" Illyrion demands, he always has my back which I appreciate greatly.

"The kingdom is yours my Queen." Daario says as he kneels in front of me. "I served your mother proudly and now it's time I serve you, you have the same fire in you eyes that she did when I knew her."

"That's very kind of you." I exclaim genuinely, I normally hate when people talk about my mother but he seems to have truly cared for her. "How well did you know my mother?" I question.

"Well I was in love with her, and it broke my heart when she went to Westeros and left me here to protect Meereen." he says sadly.

"Well someone had to, or the masters would just enslave the people again, she was doing what she thought was right." Aemon says.

"Truly, she was determined to get that throne, did she ever get it?"

"She did, but the tactics she used got her killed by our father." I say sadly

"What happened?"

"She burned Kings Landing to ash, after losing her army, two of her dragons, her most loyal advisor Jorah, and her best friend Missandi. All that loss drove her to madness." I explain, remembering when my mother told us the stories.

"But she was so gentle and kind, the Daenerys I knew would never do that."

"The people of Westeros didn't love her they wanted our father on the throne, that broke her." Illyrion chimes in.

"Well I'm sorry to hear that, I'm sure your all tired from your long trip I'll show you to your rooms."

We all get settled in and I finally feel like I can relax for once in my life. I don't have to worry about what I will do next because I have a safe place for me and my brothers to live. We can prosper here, we can be happy.

Later in the day I hear a knock at my door. I open it to see Daario. "Hello, what is it?"

"Sorry to bother you your highness but I was thinking tomorrow we can intoduce you to the people, as the rightful queen. And we can have your coronation afterwards."

"So quickly, and I assumed you would want my brothers on the throne. That's what everyone expects, a man to rule not a women."

"Well I see that Targaryen fire in you, you were made to be Queen and your the most dominant in your family. I think you deserve it, and from what I've heard, you beat the Khals in a conclave. You killed three of the most fierce warriors in Essos. You deserve to be Queen."

"Well thank you Daario Naharis, I'm excited to meet my people. Goodnight."

"Goodnight my Queen." he says as he closes my door and leaves.

I settle into bed thinking about how my whole life people have assumed my brothers would be the ones to take the lead. But I have always been the strongest and the most fearless. I even beat the Khals which shows truly what I'm made of.

But in this society being male automatically makes you powerful. And being a women makes you powerless. But luckily the Dothraki values strength above all. And I'm stronger than their best men which shows them that I am truly worthy to be their Khalissi.

I just hope that's enough to prove to the people of Meereen that I'm worthy of being their queen.
