Reminds Me Of You

Chapter 7

   Diana, Ruby, Jane, and especially Anne had all improved at writing over the years. Diana's murder of her characters fit in with the plot better now, and Ruby created new characters that were no longer copies of someone she was merely infatuated with in real life. Jane's imagination had grown, and she had added some comedic style to her writing. Anne had matured and flourished even more as a writer, to no one's surprise. Her decriptions were less long and rambling now, but they were still vivid.

   Cole created covers for all their books, and Ruby had set up another book for the contest, so people could vote for their favourite stories.

   In the end, Anne won the overall contest, but the others won in different categories. Jane won for funniest, Ruby won for most romantic, and Diana won for most thrilling. Cole said he won in all of them, because he made all of the covers.

   Anne was sitting on her bed, looking at some more of the comments on her book.

   'This Wattpad thing is actually pretty fun,' she mused.

   Then she glanced at the time on her phone.

   "Dammit!" She jumped up in panic.

   She was going to be late.

   Then she got a text in the squad's group chat.

   Guys I'm super nervous about the concert. I know it's small, but I've never performed at a gig before - Jane

   You're an incredible singer! I'm sure you'll do amazing. And you did win the talent show in 7th grade. - Charlie

   Aw, thanks - Jane

   Ah, another ship... - Cole

   What does that mean - Charlie

   We're getting off track here! Back to the original problem please! - Jane

   I think I'd die of fright if I was in your place, but you're confident! You'll be fine - Ruby

   Exactly, and we'll all be there to support you. X - Diana

   Maybe someday you'll be as great a singer as her - Tillie

   You have a beautiful voice, Jane! I'm really sorry, you guys, but I might be running late. - Anne

   Oh no! Are you going to be able to get to my house in the next 5 minutes? - Diana

   No, and I don't want to make you and Ruby late. I'll just go in my car. - Anne

   Your car's broken down, espèce d'idiot ! - Jerry

   Jerry! Ne sois pas impoli! - Diana

   Désolé. Still, that's the whole reason she was going with you in the first place - Jerry

   I can drive you, if you want? - Gilbert

   No, you don't have to, I don't want to make you late either... - Anne
