Charlie's P.O.V.

I get out of the car. After waiting for half an hour for Kailyn and her boyfriend to arrive and so I could finally change into some clothes. I grab them from her and quickly change in the back of Landon's car. Just some leggings and the band tee from earlier. And some converse. I get out and head inside following Landon. I get handed a beer right away. I decide it's best if I don't take too many drinks. Just in case. I look around. People are getting stoned and drinking lots of alcohol. This looked like a frat party. But in a lake house. I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I sit with Kailyn outside.

"Thank you for grabbing my clothes by the way." She chuckles. "I didn't mind." We chat for alittle bit. I watch in the distance as Landon and some other guys are playing a round of beer pong. I figured. Knowing I was gonna have to drive us home more than likely. I set my beer down. Not wanting to drink that nasty thing anymore. I can sense something was on Kailyn's mind due to her silence. "What's up?" I look at her. She looks up from her hands. "Just Nathan and I have had issues lately." She looks towards him at the beer pong table. "Why do you stay with him?" I look back at her. "I just we've been together since sophomore year, he's not that bad of a person he just has his moments." I shake my head. "You deserve better, someone who isn't toxic." She goes quiet.

An hour passes and Landon is off his rocks. He was definitely drunk. And only kept drinking. I was bored and ready to leave. All of a sudden I hear shouting coming from inside. I turn around looking to see Nathan and Tom. They're shouting at each other. Tom throws a punch right into Nathan's lower jaw. Nathan jolts back grabbing his jaw. I start to walk over. Pushing past people. This wasn't gonna end well. "Your fucking done!" I hear Nathan yell. Followed by people yelling indicating that Tom had gotten punched back.

I finally get past someone where I can be in the front to see what's going on. Tom was on the ground. Punches thrown left and right at him. "Stop!" I hear a drunk Landon yell and marching straight towards Nathan. "You don't want any part of this." Nathan says. "That's enough!" He shouts. Nathan goes to throw a punch at Landon. "I warned you." Nathan says before getting punched square in the nose. "Hey stop!" I go up there. Getting pulled back by Kailyn. Panic on her face. Fuck it. I pull away. Getting between Landon and Nathan. I turn to Landon. "Enough!" "That enough." Nathan on his knees grabbing his probably broken nose and bleeding. Landon tries to push past me. "No, it's done." I hold my hand up at him. He huffs and walks away. I turn back around. Walking past Nathan and helping Tom up. "Come on." We walk out the front.

I see Landon sitting in the driver seat. Just sitting there. I turn to Tom. His nose is bleeding and he smells of alcohol. Light weight. "Charlie!" I turn my head to see Kailyn. "Tom forgot his keys." I smile. "Thanks." She hands them to me. "I can take Landon home if you want." I look at him and back to her. "You sure?" She nods. "Yeah, Nathan won't leave here." I sigh. "Yeah please." "I'll take this one home." With that she walks away. "It's okay I can dri..." I cut him off. "No I'll drive." We head to his car. He directs me to his house.

We pull up in a long drive way. "Woah you have a nice house." He chuckles. "That's a first." We get out and head to his front door. I hand him his keys. He takes one from the small set and unlocks the door. We go in and I'm immediately attacked by a furry animal. Tom laughs. "That's Mickey." I pet him. "He's not much of a guard dog is he?" I laugh. "Unfortunately not much." He says and closes the door behind us.

I follow him upstairs which leads to what I assume is his room. He grabs a towel from his bathroom wiping his face covered in dry blood. I look around at all the cool knick knacks on a shelf. "Avengers." I turn around. "What?" I ask. He walks over towel held up against his nose. "The little pop funko's you're looking at." I nod. "You're missing the best one." He looks at me funny. "Stealth Spiderman." He chuckles. "Didn't take you for a marvel fan." I smile. "I grew up with these movies." He smiles. "How's your nose?" He shrugs. "It'll be fine." He walks towards his desk. "I really punched Nathan didn't I?" He said as if he didn't believe he did that. I laugh. "Yeah you did, but it was probably the alcohol that gave you that courage." He sighs. Putting some bandages around his nose to help. "I'm sorry." I look at him. "For?" I asked confused. We make eye contact. "For ruining your night." I burst into laughter. "Tom, seeing Nathan get beat was the highlight of my night." "You didn't ruin it." He looks down. "You can stay over, or go if you want." He says. I look at my phone. It was almost three in the morning. I was very tired and just wanted to crash. "If I can stay that would be nice." He nods. "You can sleep on my bed, I'll take the floor." I look at him. He takes my expression in. "Or we can just sleep in the same bed?" He scratches the back of his neck. "Yeah of course." He says nervously. I roll my eyes. He grabs some clothes and changes in his bathroom.
