After breakfast Vaya, Leo and I walked to the car. I bucked them in and got in the driver seat. Putting the keys in the ignition, I checked my phone to see I had another text from the "mysterious" sender.
Coral101: Yea I guess. But you're Elizabeth Smith. I just didnt think you would text a fan back.
elizasmith: I didn't know that you were a fan. Hmm. So "coral101" who are you?
I replied to his text. Putting the car in reverse, I drove out of McDonald's parking lot and towards the convention center.
"Mama?" little Leo asked from behind me
"Yes?" I asked in reply
"Where's daddy?" He asked
"Umm..." I dragged out, thinking real hard on his question, that is until Vaya added,
"Is he gonna be here on our birfthday?"
I'm not gonna lie to my kids about their dad, but I'm not gonna tell them the truth yet until I feel that they are ready for it so I just settel on,
"I don't know baby. Maybe when you're older I'll tell you, but not right now. Understand?" I tell my three-year-old children
"Yes ma'am" they tell me in unison as we pull into the convention center parking lot. Putting the car in park, I reach over to the passenger side seat and grab my phone to text Kevin,
Me: Hey Kev, we're outside. When ever you're ready.. but you better hurry I got 10 minutes to get to behind the curtain!
A few seconds after I pressed send I got a reply,
Kev: Yeah, yeah. I'm coming.
Me: Okay😉
I turned the car in park and unbuckled, turning around to the backseat, I look out the back window to see....Jared? I think his name was looking directly at me threw the window.. I tilt my head confused what is he doing? I think to myself. I look at Leo who is looking at me with wonder, I turn to Vaya who is looking out the window at the trees. I turn back to the back window to see the man is walking away towards the building. That was weird I think. Just as i was about to ask Leo what was wrong, Kevin knocks on the window. I turn over to the window and roll it down a little,
"Get Vaya out." I tell him before I roll the window back up. He nods his head and walks to the other side of the truck to get Vaya. I put some sunglasses, grab my phone, purse and keys then get out to get Leo out.
Once inside I give Vaya and Leo a kiss then I get pulled over to behind the curtains. I send Kevin a quick text saying bring the kids to Macy. Turning my phone off, I sat in the chair awaiting my photo-op outfit.
After a few minutes waiting Jenna, the wardrobe director, walked in with a loose white blouse, a soft rose pink blazer, white skinny-jeans, and white pointed toe heels. "Here I got you these the other day for your ops. Hope you like it." She tells me excitedly. I smile at her and reply,
"Thanks Jenna. I love it" I tell her lovingly
"Really?" She asked
"Yeah" I tell her gabbing them and going to the dressing room. Once I'm changed into the outfit, I walk out to the waiting Jenna.
"You look beautiful" she tells me
"Shut up" I tell her smiling. I sit down in the make up chair waiting for Maggie, the head make up artist, to come work her magic
A few minutes later Maggie comes and does my make up..
