He is called Ash because of his wings having the odd black specks on them that resemble ash. He has this tendency to burn wood in his mouth to taste ash of different woods because he finds it interesting. It has also caused him to have some burn marks on his front talons since he didn't completely pay attention every time.
He is a hatchling in the sky kingdom he was hatched before Cliff but after the brightest night. His father is a guard called Soot. Ash is one of the less violent Skywings but isn't a pacifist. He still prefers peace over fighting but does find arena battles fun to watch and a good use of prisoners. He is a tad snarky but over all kind.

He does have darker scales around his eyes and his overscales are indeed a different color than his middle scales even though they look very similar.
