I woke up in a bed.

I don't remember getting in a bed last night.

Maybe I'm just too tired to remember.

It was still dark out. It was a habit I couldn't seem to break.

Mr. Trent forced me up at four every morning until I could wake up on that time by myself.

"More time for cleaning." He would say.

I had to learn how to be my own alarm clock fast, because I was tired off having a panic attack every morning.

Everyone is asleep. Maybe I could actually see where I'm staying now?

I didn't like not knowing every inch of the house I was in.

I carefully opened my door, and to my relief, no one was there.

I made my way down the stairs, somewhat quietly.

  Nice.

The sound of a singing woman, however, startled me.

"In the south land, there's a city. Way down on the river!" I could tell that the voice belonged to Kristen.

I followed the sound and found her in what I'm guessing was the laundry room.

"Oh, well good morning Lana! What brings you here so bright and early?" She asked with a smile that was bigger than the room.

"I always wake up this early. What about you?"

"Oh I forgot to do laundry last night." She responded before she looked behind her and widened her eyes.

"You ok? Watcha got there?" I asked curiously.

I could have sworn I saw a flash of red...

"Um, do you like to paint?" She asked, changing the topic.

"Yes, I do." I said, deciding to go along with it.

I'd been painting one of the walls in the room I had been staying in for hours.

Kristen told me to go nuts, and I had nothing else to do.

I was freehand painting "The Starry Night," and it didn't look half bad.

Luckily, I was a fast painter, so it was just about done.

A knock at the door sounded out.

"Yes?" I called.

Kristen opened the door and stood there shocked as she looked at the wall.

  "Oh my." She said.

"Is it that bad?" I asked.

"Heavens, no! This looks like something out of a movie!"

   "Thanks Kristen." I chuckled.

The sound of a man screaming cut her off.

"Oh no." Kristen said as she ran off.

Do I go down?

Should I go?

I was torn between what I should do.

"Lana, we are going to need your help." Kristen came back out of breath.

Next thing I know, I was downstairs.
