This is the same chapter title but the chapter has be rewritten!

Ardin Quinn stood by her parents on the small dock that rested just at the edge of Night Hall, the stone castle that sat on a small hill behind them. She shivered slightly and wrapped her cloak tighter around her shoulders. Ardin didn't know why her father made them come down here to greet their guests they could've easily just waited inside where it was warm. Besides it's not like they were greeting the King it was just her father's old friend Jeor Mormont. Ardin didn't hate the man but she wasn't willing to freeze for just a quick hello. The large ship finally was tied off and the gang plank hit the dock with a thud. Mormont stepped off the boat, he was a tall, broad shouldered man who frightened Ardin a little. Following behind him was a small boy who looked to be the same age as her eldest brother Brendon. She huffed that was just great another boy for her brother to be friends with. Jeor and her father greeted each other kindly then Jeor nodded to the boy, "This is my son Jorah, he wanted to come and see why they call your home Night Hall." Her father Henry smiled at the boy, Henry was just a head shorter than Jeor and didn't have any of the muscle that his friend possessed due to a child hood of sickness and bed rest,

"They call it Night Hall because even with a thousand candles lit the castle remains dark on the inside. Though we've found ways to make walkways through the dark I will caution you against walking around at night." There was a moment of quiet as the young boy processed what he was told then Henry laughed, "The truth of it is Jorah is that we call our home Night Hall because no matter how many times we fix our roof over the great hall you can always see the stars."

The hall was crowded with their friends and family as Ardin walked in with her brother and sister Mira said, "Don't you just hate these large feasts our family always acts like drunken fools." She was only a few years older than either Ardin and Brendon but she always treat them like children. As she walked away Brendon scoffed,

"I think we just like to have fun, what about you Ardin?" Ardin shrugged,

"I'm not really sure." The two of them headed over to a table moments later they were joined by Jorah,

"Hello." Brendon replied,

"Hello I'm Brendon and this is Ardin." The children sat in silence for a moment then their sister came back her face red Brendon and Ardin looked to each other and started laughing, "Did you really think they'd let you sit up there? Especially with Aunt Fiona sitting beside mother?" Mira looked at her brother, her eyes like daggers,

"Oh shut up, at least I try to act like a grown up while you and Ardin roll around in the mud like pigs." Ardin spoke up,

"We only did that once because we were being stung by bees." Mira replied her tone mocking,

"From a bee nest that you and Brendon tried to take." Brendon said,

"Alright you have us there but at least we know where to sit."

The children spent the rest of the night laughing and watching as their older relatives drank and poked fun at each other. The feast lasted well into the night and much to his surprise as Jorah looked up to the ceiling he could in fact see the stars. It was a beautifully strange sight Ardin, the youngest spoke, "The odd thing is that no matter how much it snows or rains none of it ever fall through." Jorah frowned,

"How is that possible?" Ardin shrugged,

"No idea my father says that the people who built this place where possessed with magic but I don't believe it."

The next day Ardin sat on the hard wooden bench outside watching as her brother and Jorah practiced fighting, a mock sword behind her leg every so often her eyes would shift to where her mother and aunt stood she was eagerly waiting for them to move indoors so she could run over and practice. It was a deal she made with her father to try and keep the peace between her aunt and him she was allowed to fight but only if she didn't get caught. Lucky for Aridn Septa Das was to busy dealing with Mira who was refusing to get out of bed after her embarrassment last night. Septa Das was Ardin's arch nemesis if an eleven year old could have one. What felt like hours later Ardin's mother and aunt finally walked back inside leaving Ardin an opening to run over to where the boys stood. However as she went to pick up her sword a shadow was cast over her.
