Jakes POV
I stretch and go to the bathroom getting ready. I get changed and finish putting my tie on. I walk out and go into my room and Erika is still in bed.

J- babe

She doesn't answer me so I walk over the her and I lightly shake her

J- we have school
E- go without me
J- I'm not going without you
E- you need to go
J- so do you

I sit at the end of the bed waiting five minutes for her to get. When she doesn't I go over to her and grab her. I pick her up and stand her up.

E- wow what a strong boy
J- *chuckles* can you just get ready
E- I will
J- wear pants it's really cold
E- yes mom

I smile and then go to the front door to put my shoes on. After a bit Erika walks out

J- come on slow poke it takes us 20 minutes to get there and the bell rings in 5 minutes

She mocks me and gets her shoes on

E- can you grab my phone and bag

I go into my room and grab her things and I put her phon run my pocket and give her, her bag.

J- K let's go
E- wait I have to say goodbye to Archie

Archie comes running over and Erika bends down

J- you're just stalling so we don't have to go
E- I know

I laugh at her and we go. We get to school and I take mine and Erika's bag. She grabs my hand and we get inside. the school is decorated with streamers balloons and things like that. It makes me more sad I feel erika squeeze my hand. Get to the office to grab a late slip. Erika talks to them as I zone out.

E- Jake
J- huh
E- here

She gives me my slip and we head off. We go to my locker first and I tries my sweater and bag in and grab my note book. I lock it and we go towards her locker. We get to hers and I lean on the locker beside hers. She does her thing and half way threw I stand behind her. I warp my arms around her. After she is done we walk to her class. Before she walks in I hand her her phone and give her a kiss. I see coach Luke the hall and I jog to catch up to him.

J- coach

He turns his head but keeps walking. I walk beside him

J- I'm sorry for the way I acted the other day. I-I was just mad
L- I get it was my fault
J- I'll um see you later

I stop and walk the other way going to my class. I walk in and give the teacher the last slip. I go sit at the back with the boys

P- Jake we didn't know he was gonna come back
An- we were gonna talk about it yesterday but Erika told us not to say anything
J- it's not your guys' fault no one knew
K- are you coming tonight
J- yeah
Te- boys quit

The rest of the class I sit there looking at the clock till the bell rings. I get up and walk into the halls a couple people ask if I'm playing and I tell them no and then have to explain to them. I see Erika walk passed me. I excuse myself from the girls around me and I reach erika I put my arm around her shoulders

J- you okay
E- yeah why
J- just checking up
J- but I'll meet you at the Car
E- I can't
J- why
E- I have to tutor a kid it starts today
J-  *smiles* can you tutor me
E- *smiles* maybe when we get home
J- *chuckles* I'll see you later

She walk in her class and the bell rings and I turn the corner and I get grabbed and held against the lockers

J- who are you
?-will
J- I didn't even do anything
W- my spot on the team
J- yeah so you have it back
W- I don't like that you were in my spot
J- fuck off I just want to go to class
W- awe the poor baby
J- let go dick

I get punched in the stomach three times and he pushes me harder on the lockers.

J- chill

I say out of breath

W- I hit your girl back in October, she said you guys weren't together. I bent her sexy body over, lifted up her short skirt and-

I push him back and throw a punch and it connects with his jaw.

W- motherfucker

I grab him and push him on the lockers

J- don't say those things about my girl. I swear next time I find you going near her I'll kill you

Blood falls from his lip and I push him off of the locker and down the hall. I fall to the ground as the punches that he gave me in the stomach knocked the wind out of me. I lift my shirt up and it's red all around. After a bit I get up pick my book up and I go to my class. No one asks me where I was I just say in the back with my head down.

The game

I sit at the top with Erika beside me. Her covered in blankets as I wrap my arms around her. The game starts in 15 minutes.

L- where's Jake!!

I see coach at the bottom and everyone points to me.

L- Jake get your things you're playing

I look to erika

E- go!

I kiss her and she passes me the keys. I get threw all the people and walk to Erika's car with Lucas

L- I Jake your jersey and pads they are in the locker room

I grab my bag

L- dude run

I run into the school going to the locker room where everyone cheers as they see me. As I ran my stomach hurt from the punches. I quickly get changed.
