Chapter 11: Simon Alone

"Hey. Wake up." I groaned and opened my eyes to be greeted by...Duncan? I stared at him, then noticed I was in a cage, there wasn't any flux on him, and his eyes were red. As was his shirt. "Lalnable..." I gulped. He smirked and nodded.

"That's me." He laughs. He puts down a plate of bread and a small glass of water through the bars. I look at it cautiously. "....who was that girl? The one all purple?" I ask before I even realize I'm trying to make conversation with an insane man.

"That is the amazing Mother Flux...i love her dearly. And don't even dare hurt her. Or I'll kill you." I nod, "I believe you. I promise I won't hurt her." He nods, "Now. Goodbye." he says leaving. I'm left alone. I sigh and grab the plate and take a sniff. Not entirely trusting them. Okay, I don't smell anything odd. I take a bite and grin. Its great!

After eating Lalnable walks back in holding a small monitor. I blink at him, he looks at me. "I'm just gonna give you some 'entertainment'. You'll be able to see Lewis and everyone." I grin, he laughs. "Not in a good way. You see, that idiot friend of yours, Lewis, found you missing and ran off without a word. He ran into a few friends. A girl, a boy, another boy. Its weird. But we gotta kill them." I pale. He quickly puts the monitor on so I can see the outside of the nether. And soon enough I see Lewis, Rythian, Zoey and Ridge.

"Lewis! He's wearing my helmet...?" he say. Lalnable shrugs and leaves the room. I look at the screen. "Lewis. Lewis...dont!!" I scream. Suddenly I feel the sudden power go through me, and a hammer comes in my hands. "uh...okay?" I hit the bars making them bend. Luckily to my small size I'm able to escape easily.

"I'm coming Lewis!!" I say happily running out the cell door. I hear shouting coming from the first floor. I run over to the noises and see Lewis and everyone fighting Israphel and the others.

"Lewis!!!!" I say happily. I see his head turn over, the sword in his hand. His eyes glow with joy an run over to me. Suddenly Israphel hits Lewis over the head. I grip the hammer and run at him.

Suddenly I see Ridge go for Mother. I stop and block him. Protecting Mother. I might as well never let anyone hurt her. They both freeze. "Simon. Move." Ridge says. I shake my head, "I promised Lalnable I wouldn't let myself or anyone hurt her." He shakes his head and pushes my aside firing something magical at Mother hitting her. I gulp and back away. Ridge goes off to help Zoey fight Strawfingers.

I sigh and look around. Suddenly I feel someone grab my arm and lift me up, "Simon we have to go now." Its Lewis. I nod and notice he's still wearing my helmet.

"Ridge! Rythian! Zoey! Lets go!!!" the others nod and we run out. I then see Lalnable holding Mother and looking at me. He gives me a silent nod. And to this day I'll still assume it was a thank you for trying to help Mother.

Finally...home. Kinda. When all of us had gotten out we saw a few more lights. The blue lights. There were three. We all rushed home and saw everyone running around, looking for me and Lewis probably.

"Guys! There you are!!!" I hear Hannah say rushing over to Lewis and hugging him. I sigh and look to the blue lights. Wondering who will go home now. Maybe Duncan. I'm gonna miss whoevers going home.

"Guys...the lights?" I say. Everyone else nods and we start heading toward the northern light.
