Gregor and the Code of Claw -- A happy ending + A Book Six

Chapter 3

                 After a while of hugging  they parted and Gregor asked how he became king, " I actually don't know when I woke up I just flew to the bat colony and there they declared me king. But I still felt like an outcast, even though I had the respect of the entire population of bat's, I was still missing something. Gregor, you were the missing part." Said Ares and they embraced again, this time was longer.

                When they parted again, Gregor patted his own head, "Hey where's that crown,"he asked Luxa, "oh, Vikus took it, he said only Kings can wear it." She responded.

           He stood up and went to a balcony and looked out, admiring the beauty of the city.

3 Year Later

 
                Gregor awoke his 18 birthday to a yell from Luxa, he jolted up and ran to her room. When he got there he saw her sitting up, wide eyed and rocking back and forth, hyperventilating. He ran over and wrapped his arms around her, "it's okay, it's okay, I'm here, I'm here." He said over and over.

           The nightmares where becoming less frequent but more intense for both of them, even with there friends back they still had nightmares filled with death and destruction.

            After an hour Howard walked in with a lantern with Vikus,Hazard, Dulcet and Ripred with them, " Luxa, its time," he said in a hushed voice, when the light hit him and Luxa he looked at them and saw what was happening, "is she okay?" he asked Gregor

"Yes, she just had a nightmare." Gregor responded. " Well, Happy Birthday anyways!" Howard said trying to lighten the mood.

After the party

              They get back after the party way past when they usually went to bed, but they still had much energy, so they ate and talked for a long time. One by one everyone went to bed until it was just Gregor and Luxa. Alone. The Queen and The Warrior.

              "Luxa," Gregor said, "what age do you get married down here?"

                 "18."She said with a glimmer in her eyes, she knew what he was going to ask. "And yes Gregor I will." Gregor opened the box with the ring in it and slid it on her ring finger, it was official. They were engaged.

            The next morning they discussed how they should break the news, to the entire group or one at a time, they decided the group because 1 at a time would look sketchy. They struted into the room and Ripred immediately said " look at you two, looks like you got some news to tell us." At that all eyes on them.

            "Well," Gregor started but Luxa was so excited she shot out "Gregor and I are getting married!!", Then she showed them the ring and blushed.

            To Gregor's surprise they all started congratulating them, even Howard, Gregor thought he would be against it, but he seemed the most happy.

             "The wedding and coranation shall be held in 2 days."said Vikus over everyone "Slaks, please send out pamphlets for the wedding it will be held in the Arena at Noon." At that the worker scuttled out.

2 day later
10 minutes before the ceremony

          Gregor was standing on the alter in the middle of the Arena, 1000's of people and animals came to see the wedding, Gregor had Mareth as his Best Man and Ares as his Best Bat.

                Luxa was behind a curtain as Miravet did the finishing touches, "Beautiful dear, absolutely beautiful." said Miravet.

             "Thanks," Luxa said as she inspected the dress, it did look very nice. Her hair had grown very long and was made in to a very long braid, not much makeup was needed. And soon enough it was time.

           Miravet pushed back the curtain and Luxa stepped out and linked arms with Vikus, her closest to a dad. When they reached the alter a man started to read something that Gregor was oblivious to until he said, "Gregor the Overlander do you take Luxa to be you wife,"

              "Yes, I do." He said as he locked eyes with Luxa, they were filled with love and happiness. "And Luxa, do yo..." Said the man until he was cut off by Luxa "Yes, I do."

            "You may kiss the bride,"and at that they kissed and time froze, it was just Gregor and Luxa in each other's embrace, doing something they knew they wanted to for a long time.

When reality hit them they still kissed and the crowd cheered so loudly Nerissa had to cover her ears or her head would explode. When they parted they kept there eyes on each other as she left the stage for Gregor coranation.

            Vikus came up and looked him square In the eyes, "Gregor the Warrior, Do you swear to protect Regalia with you life until the day you die," he asked him.

             "Yes, I will protect Regalia for the rest of my life." Gregor says. Vikus goes behind him and anounces "I give you, Gregor the King!" As he finishes he places the crown from his 15 birthday on his head, and he gets the most appluse he had ever seen.

            He vaulted onto Ares and flew around the stadium in 3 big loops waving to the people as he flew off to the palace.

            When they arrived Luxa was already there and kissed Gregor again with the same energy as in the wedding.

              "Look who's my little Ultima King,"Ripred said ruffiling his hair. Gregor accepted what he was and lately he was proud of it.

            "Shoot," I forgot to tell the people," Gregor said face palming, "you can tell them tommorow." Said Ripred, "Now let's eat!".
