Gregor and the Code of Claw -- A happy ending + A Book Six

Chapter 4

2 days later

It was time for the announcement and everyone was coming, Gregor walks through the door of the arena with an entire black out fit, he liked the look the same way he liked the armour, it also made his crown stick out more on his head.

When he reached the stand he stepped up and examined the crowd, they had split the species into different segments and a translator for each species, hazard had the roaches with some other, younger man.

His heart started to race when he was about to start talking and then he felt a tap on the back of the head, he turns around and see's Ripred, "Go on, just say what you wrote and get it over with," Ripred said probably just wanting to get back to eat. Gregor turned back looked at the school and began,

" Hello People and Creature's of the Underland," He started to choke when he took and deep breath and continued, " I, as most of you know, I am the warrior and a Rager. When I was 13, I was doing the Blood balls training procedure, and they had loaded up 50 into the cannons, and on that day I hit the total of the Blood balls," the crowd gasped, he waited a moment and then started again, " and after that, my friend Ripred told me that since of that feat, that I am an Ultima Killer.".

The entire crowd just stayed silent, not a soul moved in the Arena, " You are dismissed,"he said and then him and Ripred Vaulted onto Ares and flew to the Palace.

He got to His and Luxa's quarters and sat on the bed,  Luxa walked in and asked how it went, "I... I don't know, they just fell silent, I left before any of them even moved." He responded, "I don't know if their scared or just shocked."

" I think you will be fine," she said putting her arm around him, " and even if they don't,  I will stay by your side.".

3 year later (age 21)

The room was cold and dark, a faint blue light barley illuminated the room, in the corner a white figure loomed, Gregor tried to reach for his sword, but he couldn't move. The thing started approaching and Gregor couldn't do anything, he just watched I'm fear as it walked towards him. When it arrived it beared it's teeth and Ares woke up from the corner "Nooo," the things jaws clamped down on Gregor's head, black, gone, nothing.

He wakes up drenched in sweat, he sees nothing from his echolocation except for the bats and Luxa. He snuggled closer to Luxa and went back to bed.

He wakes with his room lit up by torches with Luxa and Aroura gone, Ares was still sleeping so Gregor got dressed and went to the Arena.

He was finally accpted by the people and now got to be a instructor for a group of 11 year olds, nothing special, except 1, he and Gregor had a bond with this boy because he is a Rager as well, well I am a different kind at least. "Hi Gregor."said the boy when he entered, "Hey Snap," I say back, "Ready for your lesson?".

"Yes sir," Snap said and Gregor ruffled his hair, they walked together and stopped at the group of kids, "Okay today we are doing the blood balls and then some sparring,".

He and Mareth set up the cannons, only 3 this time, they went in one at a time and they did pretty well for them. Most got 3 or 4 but some better ones got 6 or 7, none got over 10.

"Why doesn't snap go," sneered a kid, there was a chuckle in the group, no one liked snap, but no one knew his powers yet,"Snap, you do..." I try to tell him.

"It's fine, I'll do it." Snap said cutting him off, Gregor knew what was going to happen, he shot Snap a wink and he smercked. The kids where still laughing, they won't be in a second, 3...2...1.... Fire, his sword was a blur and after 10 seconds at his feet where 15 shells, empty.

The kids shut up almost immediately, I couldn't help but grin, I could see it on Snaps face as well, he knew he just shut them down. I walk with him and silently give him a high five, for sparing I go with Snap and blindfold myself and don't try hard on him. He is actually really good and got a few hit but in the end I knocked his sword out of his hand and he laughed.

"Good job, Snap, you did well." Gregor says after he dissmisses the class, they walk together towards the door and as they approach the door, they hear something, not like a cannon from other lessons but... Sierens blare, not a rat but... An explosion.

Ares swooped him and Snap up and they flew right over, it was baaaad. There was fire and all the buildings in a 2 block radius were on fire it seemed to come from 1 house and the bats had already put it out with water. Gregor heard a slight whimper from behind him, it was Snap.

"Hey, what's wrong bud?"Gregor asked sympatheticly, trying not to hurt him more, "That... That..."he stammered,"That was my... My house... My ... My parents were ho... Home."

Oh no. That's all Gregor thought, no one could survive that explosion. What will happen to him, he doesn't have a home, the community house came to mind and he winced he saw the kids there, depressed and lonely, he has tried to fix it but nothing could. Only one answer came to his mind.

"Ares, fly me to Luxa, I need to ask her something." I tell Ares, "as you wish."he says and we bolt off.

We land and I tell Snap to wait there and for Ares to try and comfort him, I run into our Quarters and see Luxa on the bed, "Yes, yes I know about the explosion, we have to talk to witnesses later,"

"No, Luxa, it is about Snap,"He says, Luxa's eyes widen, she liked Snap also,"His parents house which caused the explosion, they're dead, Snap is an orphan." He looks at Luxa and she knew what he was going to ask, she nods. "Come," He says, "we should both brake the news to him."

They walk to Ares who had Snap wrapped in his wings, "Snap," Ares said, "The King and Queen want to speak with you." You could hear an ok and Ares unwrapped his wings, Gregor got down on a knee and put his hand on his shoulder," Snap, I am truly sorry for your loss and I don't want to let you go to the community home, so me and Luxa would like to ask you, would you like to be our Son." The words came out and Snap looked at Luxa and she nodded, Snap collapsed onto Gregor's chest, " I... I would like that,"he sniffled out.

Luxa and Ares came over and they all hugged their new member of the family.
