Gregor and the Code of Claw -- A happy ending + A Book Six

Chapter 5

The next day we walk to the Arena to address the people, they brought Snap as their happy news.

When they arrived they got off Ares and they walked to the stage and began, Snap stayed behind Gregor as they spoke, it wasn't exciting and was just clarifying that it was fine and addressing the dead.

After all of that the crowd had all started shifting when Gregor called out, "We also have some good news!" The crowd settled back into their seats, " One child had lost both parents in the accident and his name is Snap," Snap stood out from behind him, "Me and Luxa talked and we have decided to Adopt Snap as our son."

The crowd was stunned for a second and then appluded and Vikus came over and patted Gregor on the back, "Congrats," Vikus said and walked off.

Gregor and Snap vaulted onto Ares and flew off, they were halfway to the palace when Howard flew with Nike beside them, "Congrats Gregor," He said over the wind, they got to talk more when they landed.

Hazard walked in and him and Snap started talking, they seemed like they were going to be good friends. Luxa came in after and hugged Gregor, "You did great!"she told him, "You too Snap!".

When dinner was finished, Gregor realized something, he needed to take a photo, he excused himself and ran to retrieve the camera.

When he came back he got everyone in and took a couple of pictures, they were great, he went to put them back when something fell from his pocket, the photo of him and Luxa in this room when the war was happening, what a time.

Luxa walked in and saw him hunched over the photo, she walked over and gave him a kiss, "We were so young, and now look at us, king and queen of regalia." She said.

"Yeah," He said and then she pulled out her photo, "you still have it?"

"I would never lose it Gregor," she said, they stood there in silence with Luxa's chin on Gregor shoulder peering at the photos of them, when they were young.

3 years later

"GREGOR, LUXA!" Lizzie yelled with panic in her voice "GET UP, GET UP, VIKUS NEEDS YOU!" They got up and got dressed quickly, it sounded urgent, they ran after Lizzie to the High Hall where Vikus was waiting.

"What," said Gregor almost out of breath, it's hard to run right when you wake up.

"One of our scouts saw 3 Overlander's coming towards us on the crawlers, do you wish to see them when they arrive?" Vikus asked. "Sure, could Luxa and Snap acompany me?" Gregor responded, he has really started to talk in their more civilized speech.

" They may," Vikus said.

"Luxa, could you grab Snap and meet me at the arena?" Gregor asked Luxa, "Sure." She said and ran off, "I should get dressed in nicer clothing," Gregor thought to himself. He got to his room and put his black clothes on and plopped the crown on his head, he wanted them to know who was the rulers around here, just in case.

I got on Ares and we flew to the arena, when we landed we saw only guards waiting for him, Luxa landed shortly after them, she and Snap were also dressed nicely, they waited for a while until they heard the faint sound of feet clicking, they were here.

There was a man and a woman with a 14 year old girl, "Mom?" Gregor said, looking at the woman, "Gregor,"she said as she slowly moved towards him, she came up to him and touched his face, "you've grown so much, Gregor." She wrapped her arms around him.

"Hey son," said his dad, "seems like your important," eyeing my crown, I put my arm around Luxa and Snaps shoulder, "Dad," he starts," I am now the king of regalia," the shock registered on his mom's face immediately but he continued, "And now I am married to Luxa and have an adopted son, Snap."

Gregor's mom looked like she had so many questions but didn't ask any, I see behind her Boots whisper something into his dad's ear, he could faintly hear, "Who is that?" BAM! Like a bullet to the heart, Boots, his beloved, baby sister, so innocent and playful, forgot him, even after all the things they went through.

Gregor eyes started to water, Gregor's dad knew he heard, "it's okay, it was just so long ago and she cant remember you." He said, a tear rolls down Gregor's cheek and vault's onto Ares and flys away, crying into Ares fur.

How could she forget him, all the adventure's and losses and times when they laughed and times when they cried, how, just how, she was such a big part of his life but he was forgotten all together. How's Temp and Hazard going to feel, what about Dulcet, Ripred wouldn't care but would be surprised.

He landed in his bedroom which had a window and sat with Ares wrapping his wings around him, Howard walks in confused, "Gregor, what's wrong?" Howard asks sitting on the bed next to Gregor,

"The Overlander's were my family,"Gregor starts through his sobbs "and... And B... Boots for... Forgot about m... Me." He barley chocked out.

"Oh."Howard said and moved towards him, " It is going to be ok, Gregor," He wrapped his arms around Gregor, this was the first time Howard had really given him a hug. A genuine, "it's going to be alright." type of hug.

After a long time, Howard had to go so Gregor and Ares went to sleep, Gregor's dreams were filled with the adventure's and losses he had with Boots and watching them all fly away from her head, never to be seen again.

(Just found out Juice WRLD died and I just want to say that he was a great person and didn't deserve to die so young, RIP, may God bless you and you will always be a legend.)
