What have you done to us!? | Part 8

Darkness.
Taaf is back in the dark abyss.
Taaf tried to reform, but was pushed back by the darkness.
He's feeling it again.
Lonely.

He knew he was still in his gem, but he couldn't reform.

He misses Spinel.

He wants to go back.

He soon felt a pain. He couldn't tell where it was from, but he hurt.

He felt the pain while a loud ringing was deafening his ears.

All of a sudden it stopped.

He looked around.

Nothing.

He called for help.

Nothing.

A small light speared in.

He followed it. It felt like he'd been running for hours.

He eventually reached the end of the tunnel.

•~Opposite P.O.V.~•

Greg: Is that them?
Steven: Yes.
Greg: Who?
Steven: No idea.
Greg: What!?
Steven: No idea!
Greg: How!?
Steven: She attacked us with this!
Steven pulled out the Rejuvenator that Spinel helt, activated it, and helt it out, making Greg jump back. Steven eventually turned the scythe off, and Greg sighed with relief. Greg looked over at the table and saw a Trefoil gem. It was slightly purple and small.

Greg: Who's that?

Steven: I don't know, he was with Spinel when she attacked us, I don't really know much about him, but he was... very mean.

Greg: What'd he do?

Steven: I don't want to talk about it. On top of all that, My powers don't even work anymore! Look!

Steven tried to summon his shield, but it just glitched away.

Steven: I don't know what's wrong with me dad.... i just have no idea what's going on!

Greg: Well son, now you know exactly how I feel almost all the time. But you what else? Any moment now, the gems are gonna do that thing were they glow, float in the air, and reappear better than ever!

All of a sudden, Pearls gem started to glow.

Greg: See? There she is! Good ol' Pearl!

It arose, and out came... a clam?

Greg: ... That's new.

Clam: Please identify yourself.

Greg: Um...Greg Universe?

Clam: Greetings, Um Greg Universe, please state preferred customization options.

Greg: Uh, what am I supposed to say?

Steven: I don't know.

Clam: Default settings selected, please stand by.

The clam slowly opened, and out came a light. That light eventually made -Pearl.

Steven: -Pearl!

He ran over to -Pearl.

Steven: -Pearl thank goodness your back!

-Pearl completely ignored Steven and went to Greg.

(Again, not doin this.)

Steven pointed to -Spinel and said:

Steven: YOOOOUUUUUUUU!

Steven shook -Spinel.

Steven: WHAT! HAVE! YOU! DONE! TO! US!

-Spinel just laughed.

-Spinel: Now it's your turn!

-Spinel wrapped her arms around Steven and shook him aggressively. Steven groaned.

Steven: Would you cut that out!?

-Spinel looked at him with a confused face. Steven just said:

-Steven: ... Please?

-Spinel laughed and put him down.

-Taafs gem started to glow and rise. Slowly, the light cleared, showing -Taaf.

Steven: Oh god, the creepy one!

-Taaf landed on his feet (unlike someone I know) and started to talk.

-Taaf: What... who... Where's Pink?

Steven: ... What?

-Pearl. Ahem.

-Pearl: NO.

-Taaf: Uhh... what? Who are you?

-Spinel went up to the confused gem.

-Spinel: Hi! I'm -Spinel, and you're -Taaffeite, let's be bestest friends forever!

-Taaf: Uh... okay?

Steven started at the two in total disbelief.

Steven: You guys... seriously don't remember!?

-Taaf and -Spinel looked at each other with confused faces. They couldn't remember anything.

-Taaf + -Spinel: ... Remember what?

-Spinel: Wow-wee, that thing sure is big! You wanna climb it or something?

Steven: Wait, are you serious right now!? What about when you said my human half wouldn't stand a chance against your injector?

-Spinel got confused?

-Spinel: ... I said what now?

Steven: You... gah!

Steven turned to -Taaf.

Steven: What about you? You were with her, you should know what's going on .

-Taaf got confused as well.

-Taaf: ...I was with her for what?

Steven:...You two really don't remember huh?

Steven turned to his lion.

Steven: Lion, can you make sense of this?

Lion just roared.

Steven:Ugh, you're no help either!

Steven helt up the handle of the rejuvenator.

Steven: At least I can store things in your mane...

Steven put the handle on his head and it just... fell over...

Steven: What!? I can't store things on your mane!? That's like the easiest thing I can do!

-Taaf: Now that's just sad.

Sorry for the sudden update, sorry if you thought this was a story update, I'm hoping to get one out this month, maybe even this or next week. I'm just spinning a lot of plates right now, i'll try my hardest to get it out this week.
