Chapter 11: Black and White, Green and Rainbow

Azure's P.O.V.

It's been a few months since my "adventure" at Gensokyo. Right now, as usual, I was asleep in the comfort of my futon. Meanwhile, the author decided to end my whole career. A red blur suddenly jumped on top of me, forcing me awake. I opened my eyes to see Ruby on top of me.

Azure: "*groans* Petals... whyyy?"

Ruby: "Ehehe... sorry, Azure, Weiss told me to wake you up and I couldn't think of anything else." I turned my head and glared at Weiss.

Azure: "Why do you do this to me?"

Weiss: "Because we need to go to the docks. Students from other academies are arriving and we need to *ahem* greet them!" I raised an eyebrow, not believing her one bit.

Azure: "Sure... *mumbles* freaking Ice Queen." I turned back to see Ruby still sitting on top of me. "So... Petals, you wanna get off? Also, where's Yang and Blake?"

Ruby: "Hmm... nope! And they're both still asleep."

Azure: "I'll make you cookies later."

Ruby: "Deal!" She finally released me. "Now come on! Make that cookie and let's go to Vale!"

Vale was now decorated to the brim. A lot of people had worked hard on decorating the city. Balloons and ribbons were everywhere. An old man is setting up a sign saying "Welcome to Vale!" to welcome people from other kingdoms. We walked around the town. I was holding Snow in my hands, and Ruby was happily nibbling the cookies I made for her.

Weiss: "The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful!" She said with a smile.

Azure: "Who are you and what have you done to Weiss?! The real one would never smile this much!"

Ruby: "Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much, Weiss. It's kind of weirding me out..." She pouted after she took the final bite of last her cookies but cheered up a bit after a minute.

Weiss: "How could you NOT smile?! A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances, parades, a tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking!"

Azure: "You had me at 'tournament', but then you lost me at planning."

Yang: "That's her specialty! She really knows how to take something interesting and made it sound boring."

Weiss: "Quiet you!"

Yang: "Remind me again why we're spending our Friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks?"

Ruby: "Ugh, they smell like fish."

Weiss: "I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And as a representative of Beacon-"

Azure: "What? No, you're not."

Weiss: "Shut up, you. Anyway, as I was saying, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom."

Azure: "I'm sensing evil intent here..."

Blake: "She wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament."

Azure: "And there it is..."

Weiss: "Ah! You can't prove that!"

Azure: "We don't need to prove anything."
