It's been a month since Midoriya befriended artemis online. Every chance he got he'd check to see if they were on. If they were, he'd immediately join the game.

It wasn't just Midoriya. Iida, Uraraka, and, surprisingly enough, Todoroki, all played with them for many hours and had grown to be good friends.

They had all learned that artemis was sixteen, just a bit older than the rest of them, and that they lived a few cities away.

Most people would think it was incredibly dangerous to share such information online with strangers, and they're right. But artemis is a special case. Just by the many conversations Midoriya had with them, he knew that they weren't a threat.
