The Goldenheart alchemist. (Ed X Reader)

Hotsprings!

After walking around the town for a while, the sun began to set. The three friends began to head back to their current 'home'.
"Ugh, I hurt all over!" Ed groaned.
"I agree" I sighed.
Tiny pebbles and sand that were once in the folds of our clothes clattered to the cobblestone floor below. We had all taken our old clothes off, leaving me in shorts and a tanktop and Ed in just shorts. Al didn't have to take his off, because he wasn't wearing any to begin with!
"We're covered in grime.." I said with a frown.
"And there isn't enough water for all of us to clean off.." continued Ed.
We both sat down and sighed. That was until Al had a great Idea.
"Why don't we go to the hot springs? There'll be enough water for all of us! Even if I can't really get wet.." Al told us.
I looked at Ed with sparkling eyes and he did the same back to me.
"LETS GO!!" He suddenly yelled. I grinned happily and said that I'd let teacher know that we'd stay the night at an onsen. Her response was "fine, as long as you're back by dinner tomorrow evening" Typical..

We quickly packed some clothes and other necessities and hurried off. As we walked we all sang songs together. The atmosphere was very upbeat, since we were excited. The red sky looked so beautiful, and the warm wind that blowed was calming. It was the perfect time for a visit to the onsen.

Once we arrived, Ed and I put our money together so that we had a special room with a private hotspring. This way, Al would also be able to get in. Since we had to budget, we could only afford the 3rd tier private room. Ed went to order so Al and I sat down in the reception.
"You know y/n, Ed must really like you" Al told me out of nowhere.
I blushed and answered "What gives you that idea?"
"He never really lets people get very close. I doubt that he would tell you our secret if he didn't trust you. That's why I think that if he likes you enough to tell you our secret, you're very important to him" He told me happily.
My face became redder and redder. I quickly hid my face in my hands to hide my embarrassment. Al snickered at me as I did so. Ed eventually returned to us and casually asked "what's going on?".
Al started to say "Well from the looks of it y/n seem to really li-" but I quickly placed my hand over his mouth.
"Shhh!" Y/n begged, so Al gave in.
"She what?" Ed repeated.
"Nevermind.." Al replied.
"Le-Lets just get to the room, okay?" Y/n quickly added as she began to walk towards the corridor.
"You don't know which room we're in, idiot! Get back here!" Ed yelled.
"They'd make the perfect couple..those idiots" Al sighed to himself.

《Ed's POV》

Y/n excitedly swung open the door and ran straight to the patio outside.
"Look look! The hotspring is huge here!" Y/n yelled excitedly with a huge smile on her face. She looked so cute, and I couldn't help but blush a bit. I ran after her and loudly exclaimed "woah, it really is big!"
As y/n was still gazing in awe at the hotspring, I decided to look around the room. "1 bathroom, a sitting room, 1 bedroom...wait one bedroom?" I thought to myself. There was only a double bed. That means.. y/n and I will have to..share. Not that I really mind. Al must have noticed me looking at the bed because he suddenly whistled at me. My face turned pink as I looked at Al. He's totally gonna tease me.

Y/n ran up to us and quickly spoke "let's get in come on come on!"
Before I could even reply she scurried off to the bathroom with a towel in hand. "I don't think I've ever seen her so excited", said Al.
I smiled slightly and replied "She'll have to have lots of fun with us in the future so that she remains as excited as she is now"
After y/n came out of the bathroom I went in and changed into my swimming trunks. I came back out again to see y/n with Al in the water. They laughed as they talked about something. Y/N's laugh sounded so angelic and cute. Aaagh what am I thinking. I quickly placed my hands on my face to get rid of my blush. Y/n was wearing a sporty 2 piece. It really showed of her curves, along with her automail limbs. My smile faltered a little. It's horrible that she went through the same thing as us..I can't think about it now. I should go and have fun too.

《Y/N's POV》

Al was talking about a kitten he saw the other day, and how Ed got scared when it jumped at him out of nowhere. I couldn't help but laugh. "Ed, scared? Really?" I laughed.
"You should've seen his face" Al giggled back.
After some more light conversation I noticed Ed walk over. His toned abdomen that was littered with small, faded scars was visible. My face heated up slightly. "Come on Ed! It's really warm" I told him.
"Yeah, yeah. Stop hurrying me, lady!" He replied with a grin.

For the rest of the evening we spent time relaxing in the springs. We all took turns cleaning eachover off. Al teased us at every opportunity, and we always replied with a snarky comment. This was probably one of the best days ever.

I hope that you enjoyed this chapter. The hot springs is always a nice place to go for a relaxing evening..and maybe even some bonding time! Ed and Y/N seem to be getting more and more comfortable with eachover..I wonder when they'll finally realise how they feel about eachover.
