The long vacation ends and then comes the day which the school kids dread – the first day of school. While most others sulked at the very thought of it, Hazel felt its right opposite. Waving a bye at her parents, she hopped with a grin towards Kyungsoo, who stood outside her gate, smiling warmly and opening the car door for her.

"You don't have to," Hazel said and pursed her lips into a thin line, wanting to see him be less formal around her. Kyungsoo, however, being the gentleman that he always was, chuckled in response and got in after her. His mannerisms reminded her of how he used to treat her like a princess as a child; he still hadn't changed.

On their way to the school in Kyungsoo's white Hyundai, Kyungsoo couldn't help but notice her delightful disposition. "Excited, are we?"

She bobbed her head.

His heart warmed at seeing the twinkle in her eyes – her mesmerizing pair of hazel green eyes after which she was christened.

"You look handsome in our school uniform." She complimented.

He lowered his head with a smile. "Thank you." He said and paused for a while as he thought, "And you...you look like a goddess."

Hazel felt the blush bloom in her cheeks and lips curve into a genuine smile at his sudden compliment. "Are you hitting on me right now?"

He cleared his throat and diverted his gaze out the window. "Just stating facts."

"Oh, really?" Hazel cooed in a sing-song manner and chuckled at his embarrassment.

But Kyungsoo knew that he wasn't lying for heads swivelled in their direction as the two sauntered into the entrance gate. With the hem of her green checked skirt grazing her knees, red tie snaking the collar of her crisp white blouse and ankle-length sock clad feet encased in sparkling-clean black shoes, she sure was looked upon like a goddess. Especially by the opposite gender.

Walking up the stairs of the entrance, she mentally read the Korean alphabets 'yongdan' bulging in yellow from the blue background of the roofed structure that was supported on two sturdy columns of pillars on each side. Yongdan international was one of the finest schools in Seoul and she'd gotten admitted after clearing the online tests. Not to forget that she had to struggle hard in order to clear the levels of Korean language since being an international student.

The principal stood in front of the mic, addressing the huge crowd at the assembly hall, earning a huge round of applause. As a person who loathed long sermons, she hoped for his speech to not be too long. Luckily, it was a short addressing and the mic was handed over to another teacher.

"No, don't give the mic to him, please," she heard a guy standing to her side mutter under his breath.

"Hello students, I'm Mr. Suho. I would like you all to take academics seriously and participate in extracurricular activities at the same time. We, at Yongdan International, provide you with all the facilities and hope to see your best efforts..." he went on and surprisingly, he went on and on.
