Kai kept gazing bashfully at a red rose placed in a vase before him, his lips curling into a smile without his knowledge.

"Ooh looks like someone's in love," Baekhyun cooed. Both were sitting across a table facing each other.

Kai dismissed him with a wave of a hand, "Can't you see it? She was put at stake for winning this money. I'm an unfortunate person and I'm bound to bring misfortune. It's better if she keeps her distance from me."

"I knew that you'd say something like this." Baekhyun rolled his eyes, "No wonder you've been behaving rude with her. But this is not the solution to your problem. Are you blind or something? I saw how she was gazing at you that day. She likes you. And I know that deep down, you like her too."

Kai let out a deprecating laugh, "She likes me? C'mon Baek, are you blind? Did you even see her house? She's way out my league. There's not one bit chance of her liking me. Besides, she's always with that Chanyeol."

"It's high time for you to stop being pessimistic." Baekhyun slammed the table with a fist. "Stop being such a grandpa and start thinking like a teenager. Fall in love. Enjoy life. If you feel she's going with Chanyeol, then you need to fight for her. Period!"

Kai looked at him with a surprised smile, "Fight for her?"

"Yes..." Baekhyun leaned closer, "You need to fight for her. Not distance yourself. With her by your side, you were able to take down a strong opponent like DK.
