Mary's POV
I was in a diner with Sam, Ricky, and Kara. Dean was who knows where. I looked at the lighting bolt blade. "So this thing can kill anything?" Kara asked. "According to this book they were made when the angels, demons, and Greek gods were at war. The Greek gods made it so it could kill everything except for them, the darkness, and god." I said reading the little part. "Wow." Ricky said. I nodded and put the blade away in the cover. I ate my fries, Sam was in the phone. "What do you mean you don't think it will work, Bobby? It's a demon-dispelling ritual." Sam said and Dean knocked on the window with a newspaper. "Well, maybe we got the translation wrong. Look, we can't just let Dean fry in hell while we— Well, there's got to be something that w—. Oh, ah, yeah, no, ah, I I gotta go. Uh. Okay. Never mind." Sam said as Dean came in and came up to our table. "Hey. Who was that?" Dean asked. "Ah, I was just ordering pizza." Sam lied. I gave my brother an amused look since we were in a diner. "Dude, you do realize that you're in a restaurant?" Dean said. "Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I ... just felt like pizza, you know?" Sam said giving a tight lipped smile and I was trying not to laugh my ass off. "O-kay, Weirdy Mcweirderton. So, I think I got something." Dean said showing us the newspaper. "Yeah?" We asked. "Cicero, Indiana. Falls on his own power saw." Dean said. "And? What, that's it? One power saw?" Ricky asked. "Well... yeah." Dean said. "And you think that this is a case?" I asked giving my eldest brother a unimpressed look. "Well, I don't know. Could be." Dean said. "He probably just tripped." Kara said. "All right, there's something better ... better in Cicero than just a case." Dean said. "And that is?" Sam asked. "Lisa Braeden." Dean said and Kara looked pissed off. "Should I even ask?" Kara asked slightly pissed. "Remember that road trip I took, uh... gosh, about eight years ago now? Sam, you were in Orlando with Dad wrapping up that banshee thing, and Mae was at Pastor Jim's." Dean said. "Yeah. Yeah, the five states, five-day case." Sam said. "Yeah I remember that time Pastor Jim told me stories about angels and made sure I didn't train like dad wanted me to." I said. "Yeah. Well, kind of. Although I spent most of my time in Lisa Braeden's loft." Dean said. "So let me get this straight. You want – you want to drive all the way to Cicero just to hook up with some random chick?" Kara asked now looking like she'd explode at any moment. "No just to see how she's doing. Plus Ricky needs a good hookup." Dean said. "Dean, I'm as gay as can be." Ricky said. "I thought you were bi." Sam said. "Nope I'm a unicorn farting rainbows." Ricky said. "She was a yoga teacher. It was the bendiest weekend of my life. Come on. Have a heart, huh? It's my dying wish." Dean said. "Nope I'm gay." Ricky said. "Yeah, well, how many dying wishes are you gonna get?" I asked. "As many as I can squeeze out. Come on. Smile, Sam! God knows I'm gonna be smiling after 24 hours with Gumby girl." Dean said we all smiled at that. Little said we got to Cicero, Indiana and Dean dropped, Sam, Kara, and I off there and he drove away with a terrified Ricky. "Don't wait up for us, guys." Dean said and left us in the dust.
Ricky's POV
We got to Lisa's house which had balloons tied to the mailbox. "Ricky just hook up with a lady." Dean said. "Can't I like men." I said. "Just try not to be gay." Dean said to me. "It's not something I can turn off." I said. "Sadly." Dean said and knocked on the door. "Dean! And Dean's friend." I guess Lisa said answering the door. "Lisa. How's it going? This is my friend Ricky." Dean said I waved. "Wow. So, uh, how long has it been?" Lisa said. "Eight, going on nine years now. Crazy, right?" Dean said. "Yeah. So, what are you doing here?" Lisa asked. "Oh, I was just – I was passing through, and, uh, I couldn't resist. I remember that you love surprises." Dean said. "Yeah. Dean Winchester. Wow. Just... wow. I'm – I'm sorry. You kind of came at a bad time. We're having a party." Lisa said. "A party? Well, Ricky and I love parties." Dean said. I nodded smiling. Lisa let us in. "You have a lovely home." I said. "Thank you Ricky." Lisa said to me. We walked out to the backyard and saw a kid's party. "So, uh, who's the party for?" Dean asked. "Ben. My son." Lisa said. "Oh. You have a son?" I asked. "Yep." Lisa said and motioned to a young boy who reminded me of a mini Dean just with darker hair and brown eyes. "That's him." Lisa said pointing to him. "Yes! AC/DC rules!" The boy, Ben, said. Oh god Dean had a kid. "How old is he?" Dean asked. "Eight. Oh, Dean, Ricky, could you excuse me a minute?" Lisa said walking over to another mother. "Did you have a kid with Lisa?" I asked. "No, I don't think so." Dean said. I nodded and walked in the kitchen where Lisa and another woman were talking. "Oh, hello." I said. "Ricky this is Emily." Lisa said. "Ricky Harvelle, I love your nails." I said seeing her light blue painted manicure. "Thank you." Emily said. Lisa poured me some lemonade along for Emily and herself. "So... how you holding up?" Lisa asked. "Fine." Emily said a little frazzled. "Really? You look a little frazzled." I said her. "Well, you know. ... I just... never mind." Emily said. "What?" Lisa asked. "It's just ... I'm worried, about Katie. I think there might be something ... wrong with her." Emily said. "Of course there is. The poor girl just lost her dad. She's devastated." Lisa said. "I'm sorry for your loss." I said. "Thank you Ricky, and no. That – that's not what I'm talking about. There is something really ... wrong ... with her. I'm not sure that Katie is... Katie." Emily said looking at her daughter. "What?" Lisa and I asked confused. "I'm not sure that's my daughter." Emily said. "I know you're grieving, but you can't talk like that. Katie needs you right now." Lisa said. "No, you don't understand." Emily said. "Seriously. We're gonna get you help. It'll be okay." Lisa said. Emily shook her head and left and grabbed Katie. "Katie? Come on, we're leaving." Emily said and left looking for Katie. "Everyone grieves in their own way." I said to Lisa. "Yeah but Emily needs to be there for her kid." Lisa said. I nodded, Dean came in. "Hey. So, I, uh ... met Ben. Cool kid." Dean said. "Yeah." Lisa said. "Yeah. ... You know, I couldn't help but notice that, uh, he's turning eight. You and me ... you know." Dean said. Lisa chuckled and then realized Dean was asking if Ben was his. "You're not ... trying to ask me if he's yours?" Lisa said to Dean. "No. Nah, of course not. He's not, is he?" Dean said. "What? No." Lisa said closing her oven door in surprise and shock. "Right." Dean said. I saw Ben doing something Dean did, okay either this is a a weird coincidence or Lisa is lying to Dean. I saw Emily talking to Katie. "Katie, sweetheart, we got to go. Okay. Come on." Emily said and grabbed Katie's hand. They were walking out and passed us. "Come on, Katie." Emily said. "Something wrong with your friend?" Dean asked. "She's been through a lot. Her ex just died in this horrible accident." Lisa said. "Oh, yeah. Didn't we just read about that? The, uh, the power saw." I said. "Yeah. Guess there's been a lot of bad luck in the neighborhood lately." Lisa said. "What kind of bad luck?" Dean asked.
Mary's POV
I was sitting in the diner with Sam and Kara I was eating a burger and fries and two girls one blonde haired and one black haired showed up and they slid in the booth. "Hello, Sam, Kara, and Mary." They said in unison. "You two been following us since Lincoln." Sam said. "Not much gets by you guys, huh?" The blonde said the black haired one took one of my fries. "Mmm. These are amazing. It's like deep-fried crack. Try some." The black haired girl said. "Those are mine." I said. "That knife you two had. You can kill demons with that thing?" Kata asked. "Sure comes in handy when we have to swoop in and save the damsels in distress." The blonde said. "Where'd you two get them, because they don't look like the lighting bolt blade Mae has." Kara said. "Skymall." The black haired one said sarcastically. "Why are you guys following us?" Sam asked. "We're interested in you guys." The blonde said. "Why?" I asked. "Well for one Mary is the Princess of hell since she is adopted daughter of Hades and Persephone." The blonde said. "And then there's the whole antichrist thing with you two." The black hair said to them. "Excuse me?" Kara asked. "You know, generation of psychic kids, Yellow-Eyed Demon rounds you up, celebrity death match ensues. You two are the sole survivors." The blonde one said. "How do you know about that?" Sam asked. "We're good hunters. So, Yellow Eyes had some pretty big plans for you, Sam and Kara." The black hair said to us. "Had being the key word." Kara said. "Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right. Ding-dong, the demon's dead. Good job with that. It doesn't change the fact that you're special ... in that Anthony Michael Hall E.S.P. visions kind of way." The blonde said. "No. No, that's stuff's not happening anymore. Not since Yellow-Eyes died." Sam said. "Well, I'm thinking you're still a pretty big deal. I mean, after all that business with your mom." The black hair said. I walked out of the diner and prayed to Hades and Persephone. 'Ma, Pa do you know anyone who look like these two?' I sent them a mental image of the two girls I saw my phone show I had a text.
Mama:Ruby and Crystal, demon duo.
Mary:Okay thanks Ma.
Mama:No problem Sweetheart.
I walked back in and the girls left. Sam and Kara stood up. "Come on there's a hunt." Kara said. I nodded. "Go back to the motel." Sam said. I hugged and walked back to the motel and got in the room. I turned on the tv and found Looney Tunes on. I turned it on and watched it laughing at the Roadrunner and the Coyote. I saw Sam and Kara enter. "Hey is there any children monsters?" Sam asked. I shrugged and got dad's journal and found Changling. "A Changling maybe." I said. Sam nodded and it was getting late I was doing math work and Dean and Ricky entered. "Ricky is probably the biggest cock blocker ever." Dean said. "Not my fault I can talk to woman without thinking of sex." Ricky said and sat down. I tried not laughing at my friend. "Something's wrong with the kids in this town." Dean said. "Yeah. Tell us about it." Kara said. "So, what do you know about changelings?" Sam asked. "Cute evil monster babies?" Ricky asked. "Cute?" We all asked looking at him strangely, he nodded. "No, not necessarily babies." Sam said to Ricky. "They're kids. Creepy, "stare at you like you're lunch" kids?" Dean asked. They nodded. "Yeah. There's one at every victim's house." Sam said. Dean was lighting a kerosene torch. "So, changelings can perfectly mimic children. According to lore, they climb in the window, snatch the kid. Y'know, there were marks on the windowsill at one of the kid's houses. Looked to me like blood." Sam said. "The changeling grabs a kid, assumes its form, joins the happy fam just for kicks?" Ricky asked. "Not quite. Changelings feed on the mom: synovial fluid. The moms have these odd bruises on the back of their necks. Changelings can drain them for a few weeks before mom finally croaks." I said. "And then there's dad and the babysitter." Dean said. "Yeah. Seems like anyone who gets between the changeling and its food source ends up dead." Kara said. "And fire's the only way to waste them?" Ricky asked. "Yup." Sam said. "Great. We'll just bust in, drag the kids out, torch them on the front lawn. That'll play great with the neighbors. What about the real ones? What happens to them?" Dean said. "According to lore, they stash them underground somewhere. I don't know why, but if it's true, the real kids might be out there." I said. "We better start looking." Dean said. "So, any kid in the neighborhood is vulnerable?" Ricky asked. "Yep." Sam said. "We gotta make a stop.  Ricky and I want to check on someone." Dean said and Ricky nodded. "Well Dean, if the real kids are still alive, we don't have time." Kara said. "We have to." Ricky said. We nodded they drove to a house and then I saw a very pretty lady answer. They got back in the car. "We think it's not blood." Ricky said. "Okay." I said Dean drove to a construction site and saw red dirt. "Come on." I said Sam and I looked around the top with flashlights. "What do you two think you're doing? This is private property. I'm calling the police." A redhead woman said. "Listen we can explain." I said. "You heard me! Get out!" She yelled. "Ah, I could — just let me get my bag. I'm going. I, I don't mean to cause any trouble." Sam said and grabbed his flamethrower and tried to kill her it didn't work. I ran downstairs and saw the kids. "Hey! Guys! There's a mother." I said. "A mother changeling?" Kara and Ricky asked. "Yeah. We got to get these kids out quick." Sam said. "Right there, right there. There's one more. You got to break the lock!" Dean said. I grabbed a rock and broke it helped her out. "There. Come on, I gotcha." I said and handed her over to Ricky who helped her out. "I guess that's why the changelings are keeping the kids alive – so the mom can snack on them." Sam said. We all nodded. The mother Changling threw my brother's and friends away. "You next." She said. I picked up the flamethrower and used it on her. We got in and we're driving Ben home. "That was so cool." He said to me. "Yeah." I said. "You didn't even seem scared." Ben said. "Oh trust me I was." I said. We pulled up to his house we all got out. "Ben?! Ben! Baby, are you okay?" Lisa asked hugging him. "I'm okay, Mom." Ben said. "Oh, my god. What the hell just happened?" Lisa asked. "Dean and I'll explain everything if you want me to, but, trust me, you probably don't. The important thing is, is that Ben's safe." Ricky said. "Thank you. Thank you." She said hugging Dean and Ricky. "We're gonna give you guys some time." Sam and dragged Kara and I away. Sam was apparently checking people mom was friends with apparently they all died. Sam dragged me and Kara to Ruby and Crystal's room. "They're dead. All of them. All of my mom's friends. Her doctor, her uncle – everyone who ever knew her, systematically wiped off the map one at a time. Someone went through a hell of a lot of trouble trying to cover their tracks." Sam said to them. "Yep. The Yellow-Eyed Demon." Ruby said. "So, what's your deals? You two show up wherever we are. You two know all about us. You two know all about Sam's mom." Kara said. "We already told you guys we're hunters." Crystal said. "No you aren't." I said. "Mae what are they?" Sam asked. "Demons." I stated. "Wow baby Winchester got it right." Ruby said and her and Crystal's eyes turned black. Sam and Kara tried grabbing Holy water. "Think twice before going for that holy water." Crystal said. "Just give us one reason we should." Kara said. "We're here to help you, guys." Ruby said. I got up and walked back to the car and got in no matter what we probably shouldn't trust the demons.
